Sourcing

Specialist, Product Development –
- Home Bedding &
- Bath supports owns the execution of the end-to-end sourcing and product development lifecycle for the Home Bedding &
- Bath categories, ensuring alignment with Ralph Lauren standards, seasonal timelines, quality expectations, and business objectives.
- This role is responsible for supporting sample development, costing follow-up, negotiation preparation, time and action plan management, vendor coordination, and production readiness to help secure orders and drive on-time execution.
- The position partners closely with factories, vendors, and internal cross-functional teams to ensure accurate development, proactive issue resolution, and explicit communication throughout the sourcing process.

, Responsibilities

- Support the Sourcing Manager in executing category sourcing strategies for Home Bedding &
- Bath, ensuring alignment with business needs, seasonal calendars, and Ralph Lauren standards.




- Manage the sample development process with factories and vendors to ensure samples are developed accurately, on time, and in accordance with design, quality, and product requirements.
- Coordinate costing activities, support price negotiations, and partner with the Sourcing Manager to identify opportunities that meet margin, quality, and aesthetic targets.
- Maintain and monitor time and action plans, ensuring key development, approval, pre-production, and production milestones are tracked and completed on schedule.
- Work closely with factories to secure all production and operations-related activities, including sample approvals, material readiness, testing, and pre-production requirements.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including Product Development, Raw Materials, Quality, Merchandising, Production, and Supply Chain, to support smooth execution from development through delivery.
- Track vendor performance, escalate risks or delays, and help drive resolution to support on-time delivery and business objectives.
- Maintain clear communication, accurate records, and timely updates for all development and production-related activities.

Requirements

- At least 10 years prior experience in sourcing, product development, or production within home textiles, bedding& bath preferred.
- Strong understanding of the product development and sample approval process, with exposure to costing, vendor follow-up, and production timelines.
- Knowledge of textile materials, fabric construction, finishing, testing, and quality expectations for Home Bedding &
- Bath.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, calendars, and product categories in a structured process.
- Strong communication, follow-up, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, vendors, and factories.
- Comfortable working in Excel and related systems to track costing, development status, time and action plans, approvals, and reports.
- Adaptable, proactive, and able to work independently while escalating issues appropriately to the Sourcing Manager.
- Fluency in spoken and written English required.
