Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced senior manual tester with 4–5 years of hands-on experience in software testing. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, functionality, reliability, and performance of web/mobile applications through comprehensive manual testing.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, test case preparation, functional testing, regression testing, defect management, and Agile methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:-

- Analyse business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories.
- Prepare detailed test scenarios, test cases, test plans, and test data.
- Perform Functional, Regression, Integration, System, Smoke, Sanity, and Exploratory Testing.
- Execute test cases and identify software defects, issues, and usability problems.
- Log, track, prioritise, and follow up on defects using JIRA or similar tools.
- Retest resolved defects and perform regression testing to ensure fixes have not affected existing functionality.
- Collaborate closely with Developers, Project Managers, Business Analysts, and other QA team members.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum activities such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Review requirements and identify potential gaps, risks, and edge cases before development/release.
- Prepare testing status reports and communicate testing progress to stakeholders.
- Maintain proper QA documentation and ensure adequate test coverage.
- Support UAT and production validation when required.
- Take ownership of assigned modules and ensure timely completion of testing activities.
- Help junior testers with test-case reviews and testing-related issues.




- Suggest improvements to existing QA processes and testing methodologies.

Must Have:

- 4–5 years of experience in Manual/Functional Testing.
- Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.
- Robust knowledge of test case and test scenario preparation.
- Hands-on experience in Functional, Regression, Integration, Smoke and Sanity Testing.
- Good experience with JIRA or other defect management tools.
- Strong knowledge of defect life cycle.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Valuable analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Valuable written and verbal communication skills.

Good to Have:

- Basic knowledge of API Testing using Postman.
- Basic SQL/Database Testing knowledge.
- Exposure to mobile application testing.
- Knowledge of automation testing tools such as Selenium/Playwright is an advantage.
- Experience with tools such as TestRail, Zephyr, or similar test management platforms.

Candidate Profile
- Strong ownership and responsibility towards assigned testing activities.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to identify critical defects and assess their business impact.
- Comfortable working with tight deadlines and multiple tasks.
- Experience mentoring or guiding junior QA testers will be an advantage.

Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
