Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer – Product Integrations to join our Implementation team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting scalable integrations between Phenom products and customer environments.

You will work closely with Implementation, Product Management, Engineering, and customer teams to understand integration requirements, develop robust solutions, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and ensure successful implementation of Phenom products.

The ideal candidate is a strong software engineer with hands-on experience in APIs, web services, data integration, programming, databases, and integration platforms, along with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

What You’ll Do

- Partner with Implementation and customer-facing teams to understand business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable integration solutions.
- Design, develop, test, and maintain integration services, scripts, tools, and APIs connecting Phenom products with customer systems.
- Develop and maintain integrations using technologies such as REST APIs, web services, JSON, XML, and data transformation techniques.
- Build reliable and scalable integration solutions using Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Work with MongoDB to support data integration, data validation, troubleshooting, and query requirements.
- Develop and maintain integration workflows using platforms such as Apache NiFi and MuleSoft.
- Troubleshoot complex integration issues across APIs, data flows, authentication, application connectivity, and data transformation.
- Analyze production issues, identify root causes, and implement effective and sustainable solutions.
- Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering teams to ensure new product features can be integrated seamlessly into customer environments.




- Participate in technical discussions with customers and implementation teams and provide guidance on integration architecture and best practices.
- Support integration activities throughout the implementation lifecycle, including development, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.
- Work with frontend technologies such as React.js, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS when required for integration tools or customer-facing solutions.
- Create and maintain technical documentation covering integration architecture, configuration, workflows, troubleshooting procedures, and operational processes.
- Conduct knowledge-sharing and technical training sessions for internal teams and customers when required.
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive integration activities and improve the scalability, reliability, and efficiency of integration processes.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, integration patterns, API standards, and industry best practices.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices, code reviews, and technical knowledge sharing.

What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, software integration, application integration, or a related technical role.
- Strong hands-on experience with REST APIs, web services, API integration, and data integration techniques.
- Strong programming experience in one or more of Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Positive hands-on knowledge of MongoDB, including querying, data analysis, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with integration platforms or middleware such as Apache NiFi and/or MuleSoft.
- Good understanding of JSON, XML, HTTP, authentication mechanisms, API security, and data transformation.
- Working knowledge of React.js, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.




- Experience troubleshooting complex integration and production issues across multiple systems.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle, version control, testing, deployment, and production support practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and develop sustainable solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to independently own technical deliverables while collaborating effectively within a team.
- Experience participating in code reviews and following software engineering best practices.
- Willingness to learn new technologies, tools, and processes in a fast-paced product environment.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a customer-facing engineering or implementation environment.
- Experience designing integrations across multiple enterprise applications and third-party systems.
- Experience with cloud-based applications and SaaS integrations.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, logging, monitoring, and application troubleshooting tools.
- Experience working with enterprise HR, recruiting, CRM, ERP, or other business applications is a plus.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers or taking technical ownership of projects is preferred.
