Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain scalable, high-throughput web services in Java
- Partner with front-end engineers to connect web services into web applications effectively
- Create RESTful APIs that enable smooth client-to-server interactions
- Apply best practices to keep web services robust, reliable, and secure
- Tune services for speed and scale with caching, load balancing, and database optimization
- Work with product managers, architects, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions
- Review code and share actionable feedback while ensuring coding standards are followed
- Monitor industry updates and new technologies relevant to Java and web services

Requirements

- Demonstrated 6-8 years of IT experience with a minimum of 6 years of strong proficiency in Java
- Strong grasp of building web services, including RESTful APIs
- Practical experience using Spring Boot to create and deploy web services




- Proven ability to implement authentication and authorization using Spring Security and JWT
- Experience with SQL queries and stored procedures, along with Hibernate or similar ORM frameworks
- Comfortable use of Linux commands in daily development and troubleshooting
- Clear understanding of web security principles and recommended best practices
- Experience using Git and ADO for version control workflows
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps (Sprint board, PR, Jenkins, Docker & Kubernetes, etc.)
- Ability to leverage Swing, AWT, JavaFX, and Java Desktop Applications
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capability
- Team-oriented mindset with effective collaboration skills
- English level Upper-Intermediate (B2) or above

Nice to have

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Knowledge of Angular
- Experience with microservices architecture
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes
- Background in Agile development methodologies, with certification in Java programming or related technologies
