ABOUT THE ROLE:

BackdropSource is looking for a hands-on SEO growth leader to take end-to-end ownership of organic growth across our international e-commerce stores. This role is accountable for strategy, prioritization, execution, and measurable traffic and revenue growth - not just rankings or reporting.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN:

● Own the SEO channel end-to-end across multiple country stores, with a clear 6-12 month growth strategy, prioritized roadmap, and monthly execution plan.

● Build realistic organic traffic, conversion, and revenue forecasts; track performance month over month against targets and quickly adjust the strategy when results are off track.

● Identify the 3-5 highest-impact opportunities at any point in time and focus the team on initiatives that can materially improve qualified traffic, conversions, and revenue.

● Lead e-commerce SEO across site architecture, collection and product pages, internal linking, indexation, structured data, Core Web Vitals, and other technical issues affecting discoverability and performance.

● Own international SEO across country-specific stores, including market-level keyword opportunities, localization, hreflang and canonical strategy, and prevention of cross-store duplication issues.

● Set the SEO content strategy and priorities, and orchestrate writers, analysts, and other resources to create, improve, and refresh content based on search intent, commercial opportunity, and expected business impact.

● Use GA4, Google Search Console, Shopify Analytics, and SEO platforms to understand what is working, what is not, why performance changed, and what should be done next. ● Own organic visibility across emerging search experiences, including Google AI Overviews, AI Search, AEO/GEO, and other AI-assisted discovery surfaces,



translating changes in search behaviour into practical site and content actions.

● Work proactively and aggressively toward growth goals, collaborate closely with content, development, design, and business teams, remove execution bottlenecks, and drive initiatives to completion quickly.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

5-7+ years of hands-on SEO experience, including at least 2 years owning the channel as a Lead, Manager, or senior individual contributor.

● Strong e-commerce SEO experience; Shopify / Shopify Plus and B2B or high-consideration commerce experience are strongly preferred.

● Proven ability to independently build an SEO strategy, turn it into an actionable roadmap, and lead execution with a lean team rather than relying on a large specialist organization.

● Robust command of technical SEO, content-led SEO, international SEO, keyword and competitor research, and e-commerce information architecture.

● Strong analytical and commercial mindset, with the ability to connect SEO initiatives to traffic, conversions, and revenue - not just rankings or visibility metrics.

● Hands-on working knowledge of GA4, Google Search Console, Shopify Analytics, Semrush/Ahrefs, and crawling tools such as Screaming Frog.

● Highly driven, passionate, and outcome-oriented; comfortable challenging priorities, moving fast, collaborating across teams, and holding work accountable to measurable growth goals.

● Must be able to demonstrate past SEO ownership with a clear story: starting point, problem, strategy, actions, resources, timeline, and measurable traffic/revenue impact.

Success in this role means having a focused SEO roadmap, fast execution, measurable month-over-month organic growth, and consistently increasing organic revenue.
