Essential Job Functions:

DNS and Network Configuration

- Updating MX records, SPF/DKIM/DMARC, and host DNS entries

- Ensuring correctness of the firewall requests, ports, and IP whitelisting

- Project Management & Documentation skills:

- Change Management (Planning downtime or cutover windows for relay redirection)

- Coordinating DNS changes with minimum disruption

- Collaborating with email admins, security teams, app owners

- Supporting application teams in migrating to use the SER Cloud Connector

- Documenting configuration steps, relay policies, fallback strategies

- Explaining protocols and routing logic to technical and non-technical teams

EDR Management, Incident Management, and investigation:

- Managing FortiEDR and windows Defender incidents/Alerts knowing how to do a security
- incident investigation and familiarity with Service now tickets handling

Qualifications

Linux Systems Administration skills

- 7 years of Experience

- Experience with RHEL

- Scripting & Automation (Familiarity with shell scripting for automation of health check scripts)

- Using CLI tools (systemctl, tail, grep, dig, telnet) to test and verify configurations

- Reading and analyzing log files, interpreting sync errors, routing issues, and TLS handshake
- failures

- Filesystem partitioning





Email Infrastructure & Protocols skills:

- Working knowledge of SPF, DKIM, DMARC

- Past experience with configuration and management of SMTP email relays (Postfix, Exchange

- Online/On-prem)

- General understanding of protocols: SMTP, SMTPS, STARTTLS

- Past experience with the Proofpoint Technologies is highly preferred.
