Job Title: RF Design Engineer (Aerospace & Defence)

Location: Gurgaon (Onsite)

Experience: 12–16 Years

Salary Budget: ₹18–22 LPA

Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled RF Design Engineer with extensive hands-on experience in designing, developing, and testing RF/microwave circuits and antenna systems for airborne and ground-based aerospace & defense platforms.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in phased array antennas, SAR systems, and wideband RF architectures, along with a proven track record of delivering hardware from concept to qualification. This role is ideal for professionals from Radar, Electronic Warfare (EW), Defence, Aerospace, or advanced RF R&D; environments.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign &

• Development

- Design and develop end-to-end RF Transmitter & • Receiver systems

- Design various antenna types: Vivaldi, Horn, Slotted Waveguide
- Perform mathematical calculations for phased array antennas and phase centers
- RF PCB design, schematic development, and high-frequency layout simulation
- Develop and analyze jamming algorithms using MATLAB
- Conduct RF simulation, testing, and performance validation
- Perform RF architecture analysis and link budget calculations

Testing & • Qualification

- Execute RF and antenna testing as per MIL-STD and MSQAA/R&QA;/RCMA standards
- Prepare and review QAP, BOM, and MDI documentation
- Lead CATR measurement campaigns and coordinate with test facilities
- Work with RF lab equipment: Vector Network Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, Signal Generators, SDR, Oscilloscope




- Support environmental testing (thermal, vibration, EMI/EMC)

Collaboration & • Documentation

- Work closely with system engineers, program managers, and clients
- Prepare technical reports, design reviews, and documentation
- Contribute to research papers, conferences, and journals
- Mentor junior engineers and support proposal development

Qualifications

- M.Tech in RF & • Microwave / Communication (PhD preferred)

- 12–16 years of experience in RF circuit and antenna design
- 5–7 years in leadership/managerial role preferred
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills

Preferred Skills

- Strong knowledge of RF systems, antennas, amplifiers, mixers, phase shifters, switches, and frequency synthesizers
- Experience in EW/jamming techniques and SAR systems
- Familiarity with defence qualification standards (MIL-STD, MSQAA, R&QA;, RCMA)
- Hands-on experience with:
- CST Studio Suite, HFSS, FEKO
- Keysight ADS, SystemVue
- MATLAB, Simulink, Python

Tools & • Technologies

- EM Simulation: CST, HFSS, FEKO, MATLAB
- RF Design: Keysight ADS, Simulink
- Programming: Python
- Measurement: VNA, Spectrum Analyzer, Signal Generator, Oscilloscope, CATR
- Documentation: QAP, BOM, MDI, ATP
- Standards: MIL-STD, IEEE
