Role Description The Senior Resident is a full-time, in office clinical role based at Primus Super Speciality Hospital in New Delhi.

Responsibilities include providing direct patient care under the supervision of consultants, performing clinical assessments, ordering and interpreting investigations, and assisting in procedures relevant to the assigned specialty.

The Senior

Resident will participate in ward rounds, outpatient clinics, emergency coverage, and documentation of clinical notes in accordance with hospital protocols. The role involves coordinating with nursing and allied health teams, contributing to case discussions and morbidity meetings, and supporting quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.

Residents are also expected to mentor junior residents and interns, and take part in ongoing academic activities such as seminars, clinical presentations, and CME programs.

Qualifications

- Recognized medical degree (MBBS) and completed residency or postgraduate training (MD/MS/DNB or equivalent) in a relevant specialty of ICU/ Crotical care.
- Valid registration with the appropriate medical council and eligibility to practice in India.
- Strong clinical assessment skills, including history taking, physical examination, and formulation of differential diagnoses.
- Experience in managing inpatient and outpatient cases, including emergency situations, under consultant supervision.
- Ability to interpret laboratory results, imaging, and other diagnostic tests and integrate findings into patient management plans.
- Solid knowledge of evidence-based clinical guidelines, infection control practices, and hospital protocols.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams, with clear and accurate medical documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining attention to detail and patient safety.
- Commitment to ongoing learning, participation in academic activities, and openness to feedback and supervision.
- Prior experience as a resident or senior resident in a tertiary care or super specialty hospital is an advantage.
