GIS Developer – Open Source Technology Department: MPSEDCJob Location: Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh Experience: 4 Years Employment Type: Contractual – Through Outsourced Agency Contract Duration: Up to 1 Year, extendable based on performance Job Summary We are looking for a skilled GIS Developer – Open Source Technology to design, develop, deploy, and maintain scalable web-based geospatial applications. The candidate will work on interactive mapping solutions, spatial data services, GIS APIs, and enterprise geospatial platforms using up-to-date open-source GIS and web technologies. Key Responsibilities Design and develop web-based GIS applications, portals, and dashboards. Develop and integrate RESTful APIs for spatial data services. Build interactive mapping interfaces using Open Layers, Leaflet, Mapbox, or similar libraries. Publish and manage geospatial services such as WMS, WFS, WMTS, Geo JSON, and KML using Geo Server or similar platforms. Work with Postgre SQL/Post GIS for spatial data storage, management, and querying. Perform spatial analysis, geospatial data processing,



and coordinate transformations. Optimize GIS applications for large-scale spatial datasets and high-performance requirements. Integrate frontend and backend components into scalable GIS solutions. Work with Angular/React and Java Script/Type Script for GIS application development. Debug, test, troubleshoot, and maintain GIS applications. Follow Git/version control and software development best practices. Prepare technical documentation, deployment guides, SOPs, and system documentation. Collaborate with UI/UX designers, backend developers, Dev Ops teams, and other stakeholders. Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate development and improve productivity. Work on emerging GIS technologies including real-time geospatial processing, AI/ML, 3 D/Web GL GIS, mobile GIS, and large-scale spatial data processing. Essential Qualification B. E./B.
