Role & responsibilities

Job Purpose

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Engineer with strong experience in Li-ion cell / module / battery pack manufacturing. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring product quality, process compliance, defect reduction, and customer satisfaction across the manufacturing lifecycle.This role requires hands-on experience in quality systems, root cause analysis, supplier quality, and EV battery standards.

Key Responsibilities

1 Manufacturing Quality Control

Monitor and control quality across cell grading, module assembly, pack assembly, and final testing.

Ensure adherence to SOPs, control plans, and quality checkpoints.

Drive in-process quality improvements and defect reduction initiatives.

2 Root Cause & Problem Solving

Lead 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone analysis for internal and customer complaints.

Implement CAPA (Corrective & Preventive Actions).

Drive closure of field failures and warranty concerns.

3 Customer & OEM Quality

Handle customer audits and quality documentation.





Manage PPAP submissions and quality approvals.

Ensure compliance with EV OEM standards.

4 Quality Systems & Documentation

Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 standards.

Maintain control plans, FMEA, MSA, SPC documentation.

Support internal and external audits.

5 Supplier Quality Management

Conduct supplier audits.

Monitor incoming quality performance.

Drive supplier corrective actions.

6 Continuous Improvement

Drive PPM reduction targets.

Improve FPY (First Pass Yield).

Lead quality Kaizen projects.

Preferred candidate profile

Required Technical Skills

Solid knowledge of Li-ion battery cell chemistry, module & pack assembly

Experience in HV battery systems (2W / 3W / 4W applications)

Tools: 8D, CAPA, FMEA, SPC, MSA, Control Plan

Understanding of BMS quality validation

Knowledge of EV safety standards and testing protocols

Exposure to warranty quality is an added advantage
