Senior QC Engineer US Solar Projects

EnergyScape Renewables is looking for an experienced Senior QC Engineer with strong expertise in US Residential Solar PV Design and Quality Control.

The role will be responsible for reviewing Roof Mount, Ground Mount and other US residential solar projects, ensuring high-quality, technically accurate and timely project delivery. The candidate will also support technical troubleshooting, team coordination, design standards, resource utilization and client communication.

Key Responsibilities

- Complete 8 QC or 16 QA projects per day for Roof Mount/Ground Mount residential solar projects while maintaining defined quality standards.
- Perform detailed QC/QA of US solar design and permit plan sets.
- Review layouts, electrical plans, SLD/three-line diagrams, equipment details, structural information and permit documentation.
- Ensure compliance with NEC, AHJ, utility and client-specific requirements.
- Maintain and improve design standards, templates and QC checklists.
- Maintain proper Dropbox/file-management processes and version control.
- Ensure timely delivery of fresh, revision and stamping files.
- Effectively utilize and coordinate resources based on daily project/file volume.
- Provide technical troubleshooting and support to Designers and QC team members.
- Support floor management and maintain smooth operational coordination within the team.




- Complete mandatory industry/product training, including IronRidge, Unirac and other applicable systems.
- Attend client meetings to understand requirements, address concerns and ensure operational smoothness.
- Analyze recurring errors and support quality/process improvements.
- Take proactive ownership and contribute to organizational and team initiatives.

Candidate Requirements

- Education: B.Tech/B.E. – Electrical / Mechanical / Civil / Renewable Energy or related engineering discipline.
- Experience: Preferably 4–7 years in Solar Design/QC.
- Solid hands-on experience in US Residential Solar is mandatory.
- Experience reviewing Roof Mount and Ground Mount projects.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Good understanding of NEC, AHJ and US utility requirements.
- Experience with solar permit plan sets and electrical drawings.
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
- Experience guiding Designers/Junior QC Engineers preferred.
- Good communication and client-interaction skills.
- Strong attention to detail, ownership and ability to work within defined TAT.
