Senior Executive- Purchase

Location- Dommasandra

Job Purpose To manage and execute the procurement of construction materials, consumables, equipment, and services required for real estate projects. The role will be responsible for vendor development, sourcing, negotiations, purchase order processing, cost optimization, and ensuring timely availability of materials at project sites while maintaining quality and commercial requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle end-to-end procurement activities for assigned real estate and construction projects.
- Source and procure construction materials such as cement, steel, aggregates, blocks, tiles, sanitaryware, plumbing materials, electrical materials, hardware, paints, waterproofing materials, and other project requirements.
- Understand material requirements, specifications, BOQs, purchase requisitions, and project schedules.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers and vendors.
- Obtain and compare quotations from multiple vendors and prepare comparative statements.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties, and other commercial terms with suppliers.
- Generate and process Purchase Orders in accordance with approved requirements and company policies.
- Coordinate with Project, Planning, QS, Stores, Finance, and Accounts teams to ensure timely procurement and delivery.
- Monitor purchase orders and follow up with vendors for timely delivery to project sites.
- Ensure materials are procured within approved budgets and commercial terms.
- Track material prices and market trends to identify cost-saving and value-engineering opportunities.
- Maintain an updated vendor database and evaluate vendor performance based on quality, cost, service, and delivery.
- Resolve issues related to material quality, quantity, delivery delays, billing,



and vendor payments in coordination with relevant teams.
- Ensure procurement documentation, quotations, approvals, POs, invoices, and supporting records are properly maintained.
- Support rate contracts and annual procurement negotiations for frequently used materials.
- Coordinate with site teams to understand urgent and critical material requirements and ensure timely availability.
- Assist in developing alternate sources and suppliers to minimize procurement risks.
- Ensure compliance with organizational procurement policies, approval matrix, and commercial procedures.
- Prepare regular procurement reports covering purchase orders, pending deliveries, cost savings, vendor status, and material procurement.

Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, Commerce, or a related discipline.
- A diploma/degree in Civil Engineering with relevant procurement experience will be preferred.

Experience
- 47 years of relevant experience in Purchase/Procurement.
- Experience in real estate, construction, infrastructure, or contracting companies is preferred.
- Candidates with experience handling procurement for residential/commercial projects will be an added advantage.
