About Mahabodhi Global Foundation

Mahabodhi Global Foundation is engaged in multidisciplinary projects involving Government Departments, Rural Development, sanitation, waste management, IEC, community engagement and development-sector initiatives.

We are looking for an experienced Program Manager – SBM-G to lead and coordinate rural sanitation and waste-management projects in Bhopal and across Madhya Pradesh.

About the Role The Program Manager will be responsible for understanding SBM-G Phase-II and related government programmes, planning project implementation, coordinating with government stakeholders, monitoring field activities and identifying opportunities for project development.

The ideal candidate should understand the connection between government schemes, field implementation, project management and project-development opportunities.

Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & Management

- Understand SBM-G Phase-II and relevant government guidelines.
- Plan projects at District, Block and Gram Panchayat levels.
- Assess existing sanitation and waste-management infrastructure.
- Prepare project implementation plans, timelines and responsibility matrices.
- Monitor project progress and provide weekly/monthly status reports to management.

Government & Stakeholder Coordination

- Coordinate with Panchayat & Rural Development Department, SBM-G Mission, District Administration, Zila Panchayat, Janpad Panchayat and Gram Panchayat officials.
- Represent the organisation in relevant government meetings.
- Collect and analyse government data, scheme guidelines,



funding information and implementation status.
- Coordinate preparation of proposals, presentations and other documents as required by government stakeholders.

Field Implementation & Monitoring

- Supervise District Coordinators, field teams and survey teams.
- Verify physical progress of village-level SWM, LWM and greywater-management projects.
- Monitor MRF/SWM sheds, waste segregation, door-to-door collection, composting, plastic-waste management and greywater interventions.
- Identify non-functional, under-performing or incomplete assets and recommend corrective measures.

Project Development

- Identify sanitation and waste-management gaps at district and block levels.
- Analyse the gap between available government funding and actual project requirements.
- Identify CSR, convergence, SSE and other potential funding opportunities.
- Support development of replicable and scalable project models.

Tender & Proposal Support

- Understand the scope of SBM-G, Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, Water & Sanitation and waste-management RFPs, EOIs and tenders.
- Analyse eligibility, experience, manpower, technical scope and financial requirements.
- Support management in preparing technical proposals, concept notes and project presentations.

Team Management

- Guide District Coordinators, Field Investigators and Technical Consultants.
- Conduct team orientation and field-level training as required.
- Maintain proper reporting, monitoring and field-discipline systems.

Educational Qualification

Preferred:

- MBA / PGDM in Rural Management, Project Management,



Public Policy or Development Management
- MSW / MA in Rural Development / Development Studies
- B.Tech / M.Tech in Civil or Environmental Engineering with project-management exposure

Experience 5–8 years of relevant experience, preferably in one or more of the following:

- SBM-G / SBM-U
- Rural Development
- Solid & Liquid Waste Management
- Government Projects
- Panchayati Raj
- Development Sector
- CSR Projects
- Government Consulting / PMU

Government consultancy or PMU experience will be preferred.
