EY-Process & Controls Risk Consulting O&G; Upstream Senior

Were looking for experienced professionals with experience in the Energy sector and Internal Audit/ Risk to join our Process & Controls Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a leading firm whilst being instrumental in the growth of our service offering. This position will be based out of our offices (Kochi/ Thiruvananthapuram).

Your key responsibilities

- Assist in executing client engagements and meeting the expectations of the client and the onsite team within the MENA region.
- Support in performing end-to-end internal audits from planning to reporting including process understanding, walkthroughs, preparation of risk and control matrix / audit work program, control testing to assess their design and operating effectiveness, preparation of audit report and agreeing issues/ actions with management.
- Have an in-depth understanding of the Oil & Gas upstream industry risks/ issues / trends and end-to-end business processes.
- Have thorough knowledge and understanding of Internal Audit methodology and IIA requirements.
- Deliver engagements to time, cost and high quality.
- Identify key areas of improvement in the client's business processes and add value by preparing insightful recommendations.
- Contribute to business development activities such as preparing proposals, lead identification
- Always comply with the firms quality and risk management policies
- Manage multiple assignments and related project teams.
- Maintain excellent rapport and proactive communication with the client

To qualify for the role, you must have
- Bachelors degree in engineering with specialisation in Oil & Gas or relevant qualified qualification such as CA, ACCA, CIA.
- PMP certification holders will be preferred
- Experience in Internal Audit /Risk Management with Oil & Gas upstream sector focus or working in Oil and Gas Drilling and / or Oil Field Service Companies, or Exploration & Production (E&P;) Companies or working as Drilling Engineers, Rig Foreman, or in Warehousing and Logistics for Drilling Operations.
- Experience leading or supporting risk-based internal audits across upstream operations,



including drilling and well operations, rig management, production operations, workover activities, petroleum engineering processes, drilling materials and inventory management, supply chain and logistics, contract management, HSE compliance.
- Knowledge of key upstream business and operational processes, including Exploration & Appraisal activities, Field Development Planning, Work Programs & Budgets (WP&B;), Authorization for Expenditure (AFE), Petroleum Cost Recovery, Joint Venture (JV) Accounting, Cost Allocations, Affiliate and Related Party Charges, Production Allocation, Reservoir Management, and Hydrocarbon Measurement controls.
- Experience evaluating operational and financial controls related to drilling campaigns, rig utilization, non-productive time (NPT), well costs, contractor performance, procurement and contracting, warehousing and drilling materials management, inventory controls, logistics operations, and production reporting.
- Strong understanding of Process Safety Management (PSM), Health, Safety & Environment (HSE), Well Integrity Management, Asset Integrity, Reliability Engineering, and applicable industry standards and frameworks (e.g., API, IADC, ISO 55000, OSHA PSM, IWCF/IADC well control requirements, and other upstream industry standards).
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience
- A valid passport for travel.
- Internal Audit Software Such as Teammate and ERP Exposure such as SAP, Oracle to extract reports (contracting/procurement/material management modules).
