Key Responsibilities
- Inspect Materials: Check incoming raw supplies from vendors and reject anything that fails quality tests.
- Monitor Production: Test and measure in-process items and finished goods using precise tools.
- Use Tools: Operate equipment like micrometers, calipers, gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
- Read Blueprints: Study technical drawings, product plans, and safety rules to understand expected standards.
- Record Data: Write inspection reports, track defect rates,
and log non-conformances into the database.
- Collaborate: Work with the production crew to fix quality issues and suggest process improvements.
Skills and Qualifications
- Attention to detail: Spot tiny defects or measurement errors.
- Technical skills: Read blueprints and use measurement tools.
- Communication: Explain problems clearly to workers and managers.
