Your role and responsibilities

In this role, as a Platform Owner - Metal Enclosures you will oversee the development, localization, enhancement, and lifecycle management of ABB’s Metal Enclosures and Distribution Board portfolio. You will guide a team of engineers in delivering innovative, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions while ensuring compliance with applicable standards and market requirements.

The role will support for the ABB India Ltd for Electrification Smart Power Business to be based at Nelamangala, BANGALORE, India.

You will be mainly accountable for:
- R&D; Project Leadership: Manage end-to-end R&D; projects, ensuring project milestones, quality objectives, timelines, and effective technical decision-making.
- Product Development & Innovation: Manage current product development, localization, customization, product enhancements, and technology assessments, including competitive benchmarking.
- Design, Validation & Compliance: Provide technical guidance to design and validation teams; oversee design reviews, prototypes, testing, validation, corrective actions, and compliance with applicable IEC, IS, and ABB standards.
- Cost & Value Engineering: Support value engineering, product cost reduction, project cost estimation, and end-to-end product costing initiatives.
