Weld Inspection: Testing welded joints for defects using visual inspection or measuring tools to meet exact tolerances.
- Selecting appropriate solid or flux-cored wire and gas ratios (e.g., Argon/CO₂ blends) based on the metal.
- Adjusting machine settings like wire feed speed and voltage for rapid, high-volume production tasks.
- Selecting the correct type and size of welding rod (stick) for the specific metal and thickness.
- Chipping slag from the weld bead and brushing the surface clean between passes in harsh or outdoor environments.
