Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Observability Engineer – LogicMonitor who can independently administer, troubleshoot and enhance LogicMonitor environments across multiple customer accounts.

The role involves day-to-day monitoring operations, customer onboarding and monitoring enhancements across LogicModules, collectors, devices, monitoring protocols, thresholds, alerting, dashboards, reports and integrations.

This is an individual contributor role requiring strong hands-on LogicMonitor expertise, infrastructure knowledge and troubleshooting capability.

Key Responsibilities

- Administer and troubleshoot LogicMonitor environments across multiple customer accounts.
- Deploy, configure and manage LogicMonitor collectors and devices.
- Configure monitoring protocols, alerts and maintenance windows.
- Create and optimize LogicModules, DataSources and ConfigSources.
- Configure thresholds, dashboards, reports and alerting rules.
- Configure SNMP, WMI and SSH-based monitoring.
- Add, modify and remove devices within LogicMonitor.
- Support monitoring across VMware/ESXi, Linux, Microsoft environments and cloud platforms.
- Automate monitoring tasks using Python/PowerShell and LogicMonitor APIs.
- Manage L2 incidents,



service requests, changes and customer onboarding within defined SLAs.
- Troubleshoot monitoring issues and reduce false positives.
- Maintain technical documentation and recommend monitoring improvements.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application and customer teams.

Must-Have Skills:
- Solid hands-on experience in LogicMonitor administration and troubleshooting.
- Experience deploying, configuring and managing LogicMonitor Collectors.
- Hands-on experience with SNMP, WMI and SSH monitoring.
- Experience adding, modifying and removing devices in LogicMonitor.
- Working knowledge of monitoring VMware/ESXi, Linux, Cloud and Microsoft environments.
- Experience configuring URL monitoring, Resource Groups, Properties and Maintenance Windows.
- Hands-on experience with LogicModules, DataSources and ConfigSources.
- Strong understanding of thresholds, dashboards, reports and alerting configurations.
- Strong infrastructure and networking fundamentals.
- Good analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience handling monitoring incidents, escalations and service requests within SLAs.
- Scripting/automation experience using Python and/or PowerShell.
- Good technical documentation and communication skills.

Good to Have:
- Experience working with LogicMonitor APIs.
- Exposure to ServiceNow, PagerDuty or other monitoring integrations.
- Knowledge of observability tools such as Elastic or Dynatrace.
- Basic understanding of database monitoring.
- Experience conducting knowledge-transfer or technical training sessions.
