Key Responsibilities

Manage and troubleshoot complex network issues escalated from L1

Configure and maintain routers, switches, wireless controllers, and firewalls.

Design, configure, and support VLANs, interVLAN routing, trunking, STP, and redundancy protocols.

Implement and troubleshoot routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP).

Configure VPNs (IPSec/SSL/DMVPN).

Perform firewall rule creation, NAT, security policies (Fortinet/Cisco ASA/Palo Alto/etc.).

Analyse network traffic, logs, and performance metrics.

Participate in network upgrade, migration, and recent deployment projects.

Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices.

Mentor and support L1 engineers.

Prepare and maintain high-quality network documentation.

Required Skills

Strong understanding of Layer 2/Layer 3 networking.

Hands on experience on Cisco, Juniper,



Fortinet, and Extreme networks.

Experience on Cisco WLC and Juniper MIST wireless networks

Deep knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, EVPN, MPL).

Solid understanding of firewall concepts, IPSec, VPN, ACLs, NAT, IPS/IDS.

Experience with network tools (ITOM, ME, CVP, Nagios, Syslog etc).

Ability to analyse packet captures (Wireshark).

Knowledge on ITIL process

Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in computer science/IT/Electronics.

JNICA/JNCIS, CCNA / CCNP (preferred).

SD-WAN / Cloud networking knowledge (optional but beneficial).
