Purpose of the Role To plan, develop, operate, and maintain infrastructure, utilities, and facilities (Mechanical & Electrical)to ensure uninterrupted plant operations, within approved budgets and timelines, while ensuring full compliance with statutory, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Infrastructure & Facilities Creation

- Develop preliminary infrastructure and equipment plans aligned to factory layout, utility requirements, and statutory norms.
- Conduct feasibility studies to evaluate innovative technologies and sustainable practices, ensuring technical viability, cost-effectiveness, and budget adherence.
- Prepare and present preliminary budget estimates for approval by management.
- Finalize detailed engineering designs including civil, mechanical, and electrical works.
- Collaborate with the Purchase Department to define technical specifications, evaluate vendors, and ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials and equipment.
- Plan and allocate resources (manpower, machinery, tools, and contractors)across project phases.
- Establish broad project timelines and monitor daily execution to ensure adherence to cost, quality, safety, and schedule targets.
2. Operation & Maintenance of Facilities

- Fuel Systems: CNG Yard / Petroleum / Diesel facilities
- Electrical Systems: Transformers, 33 kV HT panels, 415 V LT panels, DG sets, battery chargers, 6.6 kV HT motors / alternatively 220 kV switchyard and digital protection relays
- Mechanical Utilities: Compressed air systems, chillers (up to 2000 TR), HVAC systems
- Review Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Condition Monitoring (CM)schedules prepared by service providers on a monthly basis and recommend changes where required.
- Monitor adherence to PM and CM schedules on a weekly basis and address deviations proactively.
- Coordinate with the Purchase Department for timely availability of spares and consumables, including management of obsolescence, on a weekly basis.
- Take corrective actions for issues raised by user departments during regular operations and maintenance activities.
- Verify vendor and service provider bills and facilitate timely release of payments or penalties in coordination with the Finance Department on a monthly basis.

Vendor Park Facility

Management

- Support vendors in availing utilities (excluding power) by coordinating with internal and external agencies on a case-to-case basis.




- Provide technical assistance at vendor facilities during major breakdowns to ensure uninterrupted supply continuity.
- Participate in monthly vendor coordination meetings along with Construction, Security, and other concerned departments to resolve operational issues.
- Review operational and performance reports prior to monthly progress discussions with senior management.
4.

Statutory

Compliance & Audits

- Facilitate inspections by statutory authorities for certification and renewal of licenses for various equipment and installations on a periodic basis.
- Coordinate with Tool Room departments and external agencies for calibration and testing of equipmentas per statutory and quality requirements.
- Facilitate safety audits by external/statutory bodies in coordination with the Safety Department.
- Ensure timely closure of audit non-conformities within stipulated timelines and monitor effectiveness of corrective actions.
5. Cost Optimization, Coordination & Reporting

- Identify and implement cost-optimization initiatives, including spare parts rationalization and consumption pattern reviews to control variable costs.
- Coordinate with external and government agencies for timely submission of bills, refunds, renewals, and statutory filings, ensuring legal compliance.
- Prepare and present Monthly MIS and performance reports for corporate and senior management review, providing clarifications as required.
- Conduct scheduled safety observations, enforce safety standards, and monitor strict compliance across site operations.
- Ensure protection of proprietary and confidential information and resolve coordination challenges arising from multi-contractor operations at site.
Desired Candidate Profile

- Engineering Graduate (FULLTIME &

• REGULAR BE / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering).

- 8–15 years of experience in plant utilities, infrastructure, and facilities management within an industrial/manufacturing environment.
