Purpose of the Role

Advising management in planning and organising measures necessary for the effective control of personal injuries & Developing Safety culture in the plant.

Job Responsibility

- To advise the concerned departments in a factory in planning and organising measures necessary for the effective control of personal injuries.
- Participation in development and implementation of Occupational Health & Safety Management System at TML Car Plant Pune.
- Formation & Implementation of TML Safety group standards, as well as deployment of safety policy within his scope of his responsibility
- Development and implementation of risk mitigation programmes
- Preparation and submission of Safety reports in compliance with the local legislation;
- Development and supervision of functioning of occupational health and safety management system in the company in line with the governmental regulatory requirements of Employee protection, with goals and tasks of the company, recommendations of the national and TML standards for OHS
- Elaboration of proposals for making the measures to improve working conditions and Employee protection more efficient
- Provision of methodological assistance to the Shop Heads of the TML in working out new and revision of existing guidelines for Employee protection, as well as accomplishment of programmes for training the employees in safe working techniques and methods
- Taking the improvement measures to raise the level of working conditions and Employee protection
- Organization of work, aimed at investigation, gradual reduction and prevention of industrial injury cases and occupational diseases in TML
- Contractor Safety Management as per the TML Standard
- Organization of preparation of the primary notification regarding incidents for information of TML Group’s management and coordination of the process of investigation of incidents
- Formation,



development and management of SAFETY team in TML Car Plant Pune
- Organization of the process for compliance with safety requirements by the workers of TML Car Plant Pune, as well as by contractors and subcontractors

Desired Candidate Profile

- Education : BE, Advance diploma In Industrial Safety.
- Relevant Experience: Min 3-10 Years

Skills & Competencies

- Languages to be known
- English, Advanced level (written and spoken)
- Marathi & Hindi, fluently
- Practical experience in SAFETY Management of Organisation like employing more than 1000 Employees.
- Knowledge of OHS rules and norms, industrial safety, fire protection rules and norms of the national legislation of India and Contractor Safety Management.
- Knowledge of professional standards like ISO 45001 & 14001.
- Knowledge of methods for SAFETY risks assessment, such as HAZOP, HAZID, etc.;
- Knowledge of practices for incident investigation, such as, Five Whys;
- Knowledge of SAFETY best practices;
- Experience in holding negotiations, meetings, communications at the top management level;
- Experience in preparation of executive reports
