Purpose of the Role
The role will be responsible for designing and execution of logistics flow and facility for production inventory and spare parts in order to fulfil demand with right quality, speed, cost within the available resources provided by TML and Service providers by complying to Safety, regulatory requirements and company policies
Job Responsibility
1.In plant Logistics & Material Flow design
PFEP – Prepare Plan for Every Part considering manufacturing footprint for upcoming projects.
Material Flow strategy & route design, route utilization
Material Replenishment Strategy
Inbound to Outbound Material Flow design
2.Logistics Facility and equipment Planning In plant Logistics facility & MHEs requirement planning
Layout options, optimization of material movement
Capex budgeting and forecasting based on upcoming models
Make logistics proposal for Capex w.r.t Logistics road map for the project
Execution of Facilities planned and maintain overall spend within project budget and timelines
3.Warehouse & Storage Design
Storage space calculations, Storage layout options
Simulations to verify effectiveness of proposed layouts and flow designs etc
Storage system solution design and execution
Warehouse Processes optimization
Innovate storage solution, facility to increase space utilization
4.Logistics Facility Budgeting
Prepare budget for upcoming projects and basis of production volumes and supply strategy
Execute, measure and control the logistics budget in line with the targets
5.Logistics process improvements
Packaging improvement & Cost reduction, Optimize logistics cost - inbound/in-house logistics.2
Input to bought out parts Packaging design and development, packaging validation with warehousing team
Drive Lean concepts Like JIT, JIS, Kitting in line with best in class industry practice
Evaluate and use technologies to improve material feeding efficiency, accuracy. Deployment of Best Practices and Standardisation
Digitization/Automation and system support for material flow - complexity management.

Desired Candidate Profile
- B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering/Logistics & Supply Chain Management or MBA in Logistics & Supply Chain Management and;
- Must possess overall experience of 8-10 years in the Supply Chain management in manufacturing industry, and must possess sound technical knowledge of Warehousing Operations of minimum 4-6 years
