Purpose of the Role The role within Central Purchase is responsible for various categories of IT spend. It requires continuous involvement in sourcing, vendor evaluation, contracting and purchase processes, ensuring transparency and adherence to purchase guidelines. This role is also responsible for driving strategic relations with suppliers.

Job Responsibility

- Techno commercial review of proposals and contract terms of agreement, ensure that all procurement is on time and cost effective
- Thorough understanding of software/hardware/ XaaS, negotiation & contracting. Ability to formulate T&Cs; in contracts based on scope of deliverable. Develop category strategies for the IT spend area.
- Prepare RFQs & approval notes for management conducting bidding events, Price Settlement
- Commercial negotiations with IT Hardware, Software and Services’ Partners.
- Sourcing and supplier relationship management, liaison with internal & external stakeholders
- Understanding & buying experience of Enterprise Application Software, Engineering Application Software with associated licensing methods and ability to negotiate using various cost reduction levers
- Creating MIS reports, dashboards to measure KPIs and keeping them up to date
- Evaluate supplier performance based on quality standards, support delivery time & best prices and ensure all the criteria are met according to the organizational requirements and expectations.
- Managing any SLA’s (Service Level Agreements) that may be in place and managing Master Service Agreements between the vendors & TML.
- Create effective partnerships with vendors, service providers, aggregators, marketplaces & affiliates.

Desired Candidate Profile

- Education: BTech, B.E / B.E, B Tech & MBA
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in IT and IT Services Procurement & Vendor Management.
- Procurement of Hardware, Software, IT Services & Networking, buying experience with key OEMs.




- Experience in managing negotiations for IT category of products & services, by delivering savings and cost efficiency to organization.
- Strong on hands experience in Vendor Management tools and techniques is preferable.
- Experience in contract management, ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures during supplier negotiations and contract awarding process
- Collaborate with local teams to develop strategies for managing vendors considering ongoing business and future potential growth. It is also expected to work in collaboration with other entities including Finance, IT teams, business units etc. to build healthy and working level interlocks between internal stakeholders and vendor.
- Responsible for understanding stakeholder’s requirements, vendor coordination, negotiations and resolve payment issues if any
- Sound verbal and written communication skills with effective documentation capability with keen attention to detail and accuracy.

Skills & Competencies

System related:

- Hands on experience on SAP MM module & SAP Ariba
- Experienced in using Microsoft O365 tools

Required Skills:

- Capability to adapt to necessary changes and to lead changes
- Ability to manage peak workloads, deliver results as per project timelines
- Be a team player & be hands on with day-to-day operations
- Valuable analytical ability & take timely decision
