Purpose of the RoleThe role is responsible for facilitating and overseeing the Electrical &Electronics; maintenance & repairs, implementing LCA & Digital projects, maintaining software backup of all electronics system, and for keeping up with software technology upgrades in order to ensure optimum uptime of machines & equipment’s within company guidelines and procedures.
Job Responsibility
- Strategic Planning & Process Orientation: Provide technical specifications to the Planning team prior to procurement of machines based on the past breakdown trends, new safety & quality requirements Participate in DAP (Design Approval Process) discussions and finalize the facilities layout and plan along with Planning & CPED Departments; Provide feedback on past performance and highlight concerns for necessary corrective actions Review the breakdown maintenance reports and take necessary actions to maximize the uptime of machines on a daily basis Execute technical assessment (provision for insurance spares, warranty, service support etc.) of the supplier along with the Planning department prior to commercial negotiations and vendor finalization by the concerned department Execute inspections & trials at the supplier location prior to delivery in case of critical items Review the status of various documents (records of calibration, statutory & safety requirements of equipment etc.) for various internal and external audits on a quarterly basis Review the list of equipment and monitor adherence to the schedule for calibration for meeting statutory requirements on a periodic basis Prepare the necessary reports for closure of non- conformities highlighted during the audit inspections along with necessary supporting documents in a timely manner Support the supplier/ Vendor Park resolution of critical maintenance related issues on a case to case basis Finalize the scope of work for the Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC)
relating to maintenance activities prior to commercial negotiations on an annual basis Drive the implementation of safety standards in the assigned maintenance areas and review progress on a monthly basis Monitor and Review the purchase requisitions for insurance spares by individual shops and take necessary actions to reduce the spares inventory on a monthly basis Participate in discussions as a part of CFTs to reduce repetitive breakdowns and control spares inventory on a monthly basis.
- Finance Management: Prepare the budgets for assigned shops based on the analysis of spares consumption (in case of consumables, insurance & infrastructure spares, reconditioning etc.) and future requirements and obtain necessary approvals on an annual basis Monitor and review adherence to spare inventory budgets and take necessary action (if required) on a quarterly basis Facilitate the external audits in case of the statutory requirements on an annual basis
- Relationship Management: Co-ordinate with thestakeholders for Process management and other relevant information related to the maintenance
- People Management: Understand the improvement areas and provide training for the team on systematic problem solving & ensure continuous improvement in the process. Ensure effective processes throughout the manufacturing by continuous communication with team about the progress, performance and the issues that may occur or that may arise during the production.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Education : BE/B-Tech-Electronics,Electrical,Mechantronics
- Relevant Experience : 5 to 12 years
- Experience working in Automobile Industry; Knowledge of Manufacturing processes and systems, Engine test cells , Gear test rigs ,Electronic circuits and equipment’s, CNC, PLC & Robot Operation & Maintenance.
- Exposure in Digitalization projects will be an added advantage.
