Position Title – Senior Manager-Civil & Construction
Purpose of the Role:
Lead the planning, execution, maintenance, and improvement of civil infrastructure across manufacturing facilities and greenfield/brownfield projects. Responsible for ensuring protected, cost-effective, timely, and quality delivery of civil works while maintaining statutory compliance and stakeholder satisfaction.
Job Responsibility:
1. 1. Project Planning & Execution
- Lead execution of greenfield and brownfield civil infrastructure projects.
- Prepare project scope, budgets, schedules, and resource plans.
- Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
- Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to cost, quality, and timelines.
- Drive value engineering and cost optimization initiatives.
1. 2. Design & Engineering Management
- Review civil, structural, architectural, and infrastructure designs.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and company specifications.
- Coordinate with consultants, architects, and PMC teams.
- Approve drawings, BOQs, technical specifications, and construction methodologies.
1. 3. Contract & Vendor Management
- Develop contracting strategies for civil and infrastructure packages.
- Manage tendering, technical evaluations, negotiations, and contract awards.
- Monitor contractor performance, productivity, quality, and safety.
- Process certifications, variations, claims, and contract closures.
1. 4. Plant Infrastructure Management
- Oversee maintenance and improvement of roads, buildings, drainage, utilities, and ancillary facilities.
- Ensure uninterrupted support to manufacturing operations.
- Drive reliability and lifecycle management of civil assets.
1. 5. Safety, Quality & Compliance
- Ensure implementation of HSE standards and zero-harm culture.
- Conduct site safety audits and risk assessments.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, environmental regulations, DISH/BOCW provisions, and local authority approvals.
- Maintain quality assurance and quality control systems.
1. 6. Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Planning, Maintenance, SCM, Finance, EHS, and Utility teams.
- Present project updates to senior leadership.
- Manage interfaces with government authorities, consultants, contractors,
and external agencies.
1. 7. Budget & Cost Control
- Prepare CAPEX and revenue budgets.
- Monitor cash flow, commitments, and forecasted expenditures.
- Identify savings opportunities through design optimization and value engineering.
1. 8. Team Leadership
- Lead and develop a team of engineers and project professionals.
- Define KRAs, conduct performance reviews, and build technical capabilities.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Qualification & Experience
- Education: B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (NICMAR / Const Management preferred. ).
- Experience: 8–14 years in industrial, manufacturing, automotive, EPC, or infrastructure projects.
- Experience in greenfield and brownfield manufacturing facilities preferred.

Suitable for Automotive Manufacturing Plants The role should ideally have experience in:
- Factory buildings, PEB and RCC structures.
- Roads, drainage, utilities, and underground services.
- Office buildings, canteens, dormitories, and support facilities.
- Coordination with production, utility, and maintenance teams.
- Execution of live plant modifications with minimal production disruption
