Role Description The Senior Java Developer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bhubaneswar. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance Java applications and enterprise solutions, including backend services, APIs, and integrations with existing platforms.

Day-to-day responsibilities include troubleshooting and optimizing existing systems, performing unit and integration testing, guiding junior developers through mentorship and technical oversight, and contributing to technical documentation. The role also requires active participation in sprint planning, estimation, and continuous improvement initiatives to deliver reliable solutions for government and enterprise clients.

Qualifications

- Strong proficiency in core Java and object-oriented programming, with experience in developing scalable, secure enterprise applications.
- Hands-on experience with Java frameworks and technologies such as Spring/Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, and RESTful web services.
- Knowledge of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) and SQL, including schema design and query optimization.
- Familiarity with front-end integration using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or modern JavaScript frameworks is beneficial.
- Experience with build and version control tools such as Maven/Gradle and Git, and exposure to CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of software architecture patterns, microservices, and application security and performance best practices.
- Ability to analyze complex requirements, conduct technical research, and produce explicit documentation and technical specifications.
- Demonstrated experience mentoring developers, performing code reviews, and contributing to team-wide coding standards.
