Manager / Senior Manager HR
Location: Bengaluru
Function: Human Resources
Reporting to: Sr. Vice President HR & Admin
Travel:Periodic travel to Brigade Foundations schools, Skill Development unit and Indian Music Museum site
SUMMARY
Looking for an experienced HR Manager / Senior Manager to serve as the dedicated HR anchor for our Foundation vertical, covering our schools, Skill Development unit and Indian Music Museum. This is a hands-on,
individual contributor role with end-to-end ownership across Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partnering, Employee Relations, HR processes and Statutory Compliance.
EDUCATION
MBA / Postgraduate degree in Human Resources or a related discipline.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Strong HRBP and stakeholder-management skills
Hands-on Talent Acquisition capability
Positive understanding of Indian labour laws and statutory compliance
Knowledge of Labour Codes, POSH and HR governance
Strong documentation and audit-readiness orientation

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning: Own the end-to-end recruitment process for the Foundation vertical,
including teaching and non-teaching staff, trainers/instructors, museum, education and operations roles; develop sector-specific talent pipelines through educational institutions, specialised job portals, professional networks,
referrals and industry associations; partner with business/unit heads to understand manpower requirements and manage budgeted headcount and workforce planning; manage offer discussions, salary structuring, documentation and onboarding in line with Brigade’s HR frameworks; ensure timely closure of critical positions while maintaining quality of hire.
2. HR Business Partnering: Act as the single point of HR contact for school leadership, Skill Development teams and Indian Music Museum leadership; partner with stakeholders on employee relations, performance management, engagement, retention and workplace culture; understand the unique people requirements of teaching, training, administrative, curatorial and cultural-institution teams; support organisation design, role clarity and succession planning as the Foundation vertical expands; work closely with Central HR, Compensation & Benefits, L&D; and HR Operations teams to ensure consistency with Brigade’s overall HR practices.
3. HR Process & Policy Development: Review, develop and strengthen HR processes and policies relevant to the Foundation vertical; identify gaps in existing HR practices and implement structured processes wherever required; adapt corporate HR frameworks to suit the specific requirements of schools, skill-development operations and cultural institutions; drive initiatives around employee engagement, retention and organisational effectiveness.
4. Statutory & Labour Law Compliance:
Own and coordinate statutory and labour-law compliance across the
Foundation entities and locations; ensure proper maintenance of statutory registers, records, licences, renewals and HR documentation; drive compliance readiness with applicable Labour Codes and other employment-related regulations;
ensure alignment with Brigade’s processes relating to POSH, BGV, whistleblower mechanisms, disciplinary procedures and employee documentation; coordinate with legal/consulting partners and relevant authorities on establishment-specific regulatory requirements; ensure the vertical remains audit-ready and support internal/external audits whenever required.
5. Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with School Principals, educators, trainers, functional heads,
museum leadership and senior management; serve as a trusted HR advisor and provide practical solutions to people-
related challenges; balance business requirements with employee experience and organisational governance; work independently across geographically dispersed units and manage multiple priorities effectively.
CANDIDATE PROFILE -
EXPERIENCE :- 10–15 years of progressive HR experience across Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partnering, Employee Relations,
Statutory & Labour Compliance, and HR Process/Policy Management. Relevant experience in education, skill development, foundation/non-profit organisations or cultural institutions is essential. Experience managing HR across multiple locations/entities will be preferred. Candidates should have hands-on experience in managing recruitment rather than purely supervisory/strategic TA exposure.
