Role Purpose:

We are seeking an experienced Order-to-Cash (O2C) Senior Consultant with a solid background in the retail industry to support the SAP S/4HANA store rollout. The consultant will play a critical role in designing, reviewing, and deploying O2C processes across store sales, e-commerce and wholesale channels, with a focus on retail-specific requirements, functional specification reviews, and integration oversight.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in SAP S/4HANA Sales and Distribution, IS-Retail sales processes, POS and omni-channel order flows, pricing and promotions, and the integration of sales with finance and logistics.

Role Details Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Functional Specification Review:

- Collaborate with retail commercial, store operations and e-commerce stakeholders to gather and document O2C requirements specific to the store rollout.
- Review and validate functional specifications for O2C processes, ensuring alignment with retail industry best practices and SAP standards.
- Provide recommendations for process optimization across order management, pricing and promotions, returns and refunds, billing, and customer settlement.

Integration Oversight:

- Oversee the integration of O2C processes with retail-specific modules such as SAP CAR (Customer Activity Repository), SAP IS-Retail, POS systems, and other SAP components (e.g., MM, FI).
- Manage end-to-end data flow between point-of-sale systems, omni-channel order capture, inventory management, and revenue reporting.
- Validate test scenarios, integration tests,



and UAT results to ensure seamless integration across sales, logistics and finance streams.

Retail Pricing, Billing and Compliance:

- Define and implement pricing, promotion and billing configurations tailored for retail, ensuring compliance with regional VAT and e-invoicing requirements across store locations.
- Design automated billing, credit and settlement processes for high-volume retail sales transactions.
- Coordinate integration with payment providers, loyalty platforms and e-commerce marketplaces used across the retail channels.

Project Management Support:

- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for O2C in retail processes throughout the rollout lifecycle, from design through store go-live and hypercare.
- Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies for rollout-specific challenges, such as high sales transaction volumes, POS cutover and returns handling.
- Ensure alignment of rollout milestones related to sales readiness, pricing setup and integration.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

- Act as the primary contact for O2C topics in the retail stream, collaborating with commercial and marketing teams, store operations, finance, SAP consultants, and external partners.




- Conduct workshops and training sessions for store and commercial users to drive adoption of O2C functionalities.

Functional/Technical Competencies

Experience:

- Minimum 10+ years of experience in SAP SD/O2C with at least 2 full-cycle SAP S/4HANA implementations or rollouts.
- Proven expertise in retail sales processes, including POS sales flows, pricing and promotions, omni-channel returns and multi-channel order fulfilment.
- Strong background in O2C processes: order management, delivery and shipping, billing, credit management, and accounts receivable integration.
- Hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA store rollout and multi-site deployment projects.

Technical Skills:

- Knowledge of SAP SD pricing and condition techniques, output determination, rebates, and revenue account determination.
- Experience with retail-specific SAP modules (e.g., SAP CAR, IS-Retail, POS DM).
- Proficiency in functional spec documentation and SAP module integration.
- Familiarity with Fiori apps for sales and S/4HANA retail innovations.

Soft Skills:

- Strong communication skills for engaging with cross-functional and store-based teams.
- Analytical mindset to identify gaps and propose tailored solutions.
- Ability to manage high-pressure environments with fixed store opening deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

- SAP S/4HANA Sales Certification.
- Experience with large-scale retail SAP projects involving multi-location, multi-country and multi-currency operations.
- Familiarity with Agile or hybrid project methodologies.
