Role Purpose:

We are seeking a Senior Functional Consultant with deep SAP Order-to-Cash (O2C) and Customer Activity Repository (CAR) expertise to support the SAP S/4HANA store rollout for the MAF Retail operating company. The consultant will own the solution design for sales and POS data processing, covering order management, pricing, promotions and billing in S/4HANA together with POS inbound processing, transaction aggregation and downstream posting in CAR, and will guide the offshore team through build, testing, cutover and hypercare for each store wave.

The ideal candidate will have 10 to 12 years of SAP SD/O2C experience with solid hands-on SAP CAR and POS DM design capability, and must have completed at least one full greenfield SAP S/4HANA retail implementation.

Role Details Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Solution Design and Ownership:

- Own the O2C and CAR solution design for the rollout, running design workshops with commercial, store operations, finance and e-commerce stakeholders and securing sign-off on the agreed to-be processes.
- Author and review functional specifications and configuration designs, challenging solutions that create downstream risk in finance, inventory or reporting.
- Take design decisions across order management, pricing and promotions, returns and refunds, billing, customer settlement, and the aggregation and posting of POS sales.

POS Data Flow and Integration:

- Own the end-to-end POS data flow from store point-of-sale systems into SAP CAR (POS DM) and onward to S/4HANA sales, inventory and financial postings.
- Design CAR POS inbound processing, task and rule sets, transaction log handling, and the error correction and reprocessing procedures used in the POS workbench.
- Coordinate with the integration, EWM, R2R and data migration streams on interfaces, master data alignment and cross-stream dependencies.

Testing,



Cutover and Hypercare:

- Own the O2C and CAR test strategy: review test scripts, lead SIT and support UAT, and drive defects to closure against agreed service levels.
- Ensure VAT determination, e-invoicing and output requirements are correctly configured across store locations.
- Own store onboarding into CAR, including store profiles, transaction mapping, sales value reconciliation and connectivity validation with POS providers ahead of each cutover.

Project Management Support:

- Serve as the offshore subject matter expert for O2C and CAR throughout the rollout lifecycle, from design through store go-live and hypercare.
- Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies for rollout-specific challenges, such as peak sales volumes, POS interface failures, promotion complexity and returns handling.
- Own delivery of the O2C and CAR scope against the rollout plan, reporting status, risks and issues to the O2C Lead and programme governance.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

- Act as the primary offshore contact for O2C and CAR topics, collaborating with commercial and store operations teams, finance, integration, developers and POS vendors.
- Lead design and validation workshops with business users, mentor mid and junior consultants in the stream, and review their deliverables before onsite submission.

Functional/Technical Competencies

Experience:

- 10 plus years of experience as an SAP SD/O2C consultant,



with strong hands-on SAP CAR and POS DM design and configuration.
- Mandatory: at least one complete greenfield SAP S/4HANA retail implementation delivered end to end, from design through go-live, with proven expertise in POS sales upload, aggregation, store-level sales reconciliation and high-volume transaction processing.
- Strong command of O2C processes: order management, delivery and shipping, billing, returns, credit management and accounts receivable integration.
- Experience owning a stream through SIT, UAT, cutover, go-live and hypercare on a multi-site rollout.

Technical Skills:

- Deep SAP CAR skills: POS Data Transfer and Audit, task and rule sets, transaction log, POS workbench error handling, and onward distribution to S/4HANA.
- Deep SAP SD configuration: pricing and condition techniques, promotions, output determination, billing and revenue account determination.
- Ability to author clear functional specifications, design documents and test strategies, and to review the work of others.
- Familiarity with IS-Retail, Omnichannel Promotion Pricing, Fiori sales apps and S/4HANA retail innovations.

Soft Skills:

- Excellent written and spoken English, with the confidence to lead workshops and challenge stakeholders remotely.
- Analytical mindset for investigating POS and sales data discrepancies at volume, and for identifying design gaps early.
- Ability to lead under pressure through cutover weekends and fixed store opening deadlines, working offshore with overlap to UAE business hours.

Preferred Qualifications:

- SAP S/4HANA Sales and SAP Customer Activity Repository Certification.
- Experience with large-scale, multi-location and multi-country retail SAP rollouts delivered from an offshore location.
- Familiarity with Agile or hybrid methodologies, SAP Activate, and tools such as Jira or Solution Manager.
