Express Network is looking for an experienced Senior Fiber Network Technician who can take responsibility for the design, redesign, maintenance and reliable operation of fiber-optic network infrastructure.

The candidate should have robust hands-on field experience and be capable of independently identifying network issues, planning corrective work and ensuring that fiber infrastructure is maintained to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and redesign fiber-optic network routes based on network and field requirements.

Take responsibility for maintenance of fiber cables and associated network infrastructure.

Identify fiber faults, cable damage and network-related problems and coordinate corrective action.

Carry out and supervise fiber installation, repair, restoration and maintenance activities.

Inspect existing fiber routes and recommend improvements or redesign where required.

Ensure proper routing, cable management and quality of fiber network work.

Coordinate with Network Engineers and technical teams for network-related issues.

Handle major fiber complaints and ensure timely restoration of services.

Guide junior technicians and assistants during field activities.

Maintain proper site and network-related documentation.

Ensure assigned work is completed safely and responsibly.

Required Qualifications:

Strong practical knowledge of Fiber Optic Networks.

Minimum 10 years of relevant fiber network experience.

Proven experience in fiber network designing and redesigning.

Strong experience in fiber cable maintenance and fault identification.





Ability to independently handle field-level fiber network responsibilities.

Required Skills:

Fiber network design and route planning.

Fiber cable installation and maintenance.

Fiber fault identification and troubleshooting.

Practical understanding of fiber network infrastructure.

Ability to analyse existing networks and plan redesign/improvements.

Strong field problem-solving ability.

Ability to supervise and guide technicians where required.

Preferred / Added Advantage:

Knowledge or practical experience in:

OLT

ONT

Basic networking

FTTH networks

Network troubleshooting

Fiber testing and related tools

Practical Requirements:

Valid driving licence is mandatory.

Practical driving experience with 2-wheelers, 3-wheelers and 4-wheelers as required for the position.

Willingness to undertake regular field work.

Ability to travel to different network locations and customer sites.

Comfortable handling field-level technical responsibilities independently.
