About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Executive – Purchase with solid knowledge of the Rubber Mixing / Rubber Compounding Industry. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in procurement and vendor management, preferably within a rubber mixing plant, tyre manufacturing company, or similar manufacturing workplace.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle day-to-day purchase and procurement activities for the plant.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers and vendors.
- Source raw materials, consumables, spare parts, engineering items, and other plant requirements.
- Obtain and compare quotations from multiple suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions with vendors.
- Prepare and process purchase orders as per approved requirements.
- Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Stores, Quality, Finance, and other departments to understand material requirements.
- Ensure timely procurement and availability of materials to avoid production or maintenance interruptions.
- Monitor purchase orders and follow up with suppliers for timely delivery.
- Maintain proper purchase records, supplier details, quotations, purchase orders, and related documentation.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and recent suppliers.
- Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, delivery, and service.
- Support cost-reduction and value-engineering initiatives.




- Handle supplier-related issues, including quality, delivery delays, shortages, and commercial disputes.
- Monitor market prices and availability of critical materials.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and approval procedures.
- Coordinate with Stores for inventory requirements and avoid excess or shortage of critical materials.

Industry Experience – Preferred

- Strong knowledge of Rubber / Rubber Compounding / Rubber Mixing Industry.
- Experience in Rubber Mixing Plants / Mixing Units is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of materials and consumables used in rubber processing and manufacturing plants will be an advantage.
- Experience in purchasing raw materials, engineering items, maintenance spares, consumables, and general plant materials is preferred.

Candidate Requirements

- Any Degree from a recognized institution.
- 7–9+ years of relevant experience in Purchase / Procurement.
- Strong experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably Rubber Mixing / Rubber Compounding.
- Good negotiation and vendor-management skills.
- Solid communication and coordination skills.
- Good knowledge of purchase procedures, supplier development, and commercial negotiations.
- Ability to manage multiple purchase requirements and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office is preferred.
- Age: Above 35 years.
