A Quality Inspector ensures that raw materials, in-process goods, and final products meet safety, reliability, and company standards. They examine products, test them against engineering blueprints, and document any defects to prevent subpar items from reaching consumers.
- Core Responsibilities
- Material Inspection: Verify incoming raw materials and parts against technical specifications, rejecting non-conforming items.
- In-Process Monitoring: Review products at various stages of the assembly line to ensure manufacturing stays within acceptable tolerance levels.
- Final Testing: Conduct visual, dimensional, and functional checks on finished products before they are approved for packaging and shipping.
- Equipment Calibration: Test and verify that the instruments, gauges, and measuring tools used on the production floor are accurate.
- Documentation: Create detailed reports, log defects, and track waste to provide actionable feedback to production managers.

- Technical Literacy:



Ability to read and interpret engineering schematics, blueprints, and ISO compliance guidelines.
- Tool Proficiency: Experience using precision measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Attention to Detail: High capacity for catching minute deviations and spotting root causes for defects.
- Communication: Ability to clearly report findings to supervisors and collaborate with manufacturing teams to adjust assembly processes.
- QualificationsTypically requires an ITI diploma, a bachelor's degree in engineering or manufacturing, or equivalent on-the-job training.
- Previous experience in quality control or a manufacturing workplace (such as fabrication, plastics, or automotive) is highly valued.
