About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Embedded Software Developer with strong hands-on experience in Python and Embedded Linux to develop software for our ARM64/x86_64-based embedded products.

This is a hands-on individual contributor role, focused on building production-grade applications that interact with hardware, provide local graphical interfaces, and communicate with backend/cloud systems.

Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain production-grade Python applications on Embedded Linux.
- Build responsive PyQt/PySide GUI applications for industrial/touchscreen devices.
- Integrate and control hardware using GPIO, UART/RS232/RS485, SPI, I2C, USB, and Ethernet.
- Integrate RFID readers and industrial peripherals with embedded applications.
- Develop MQTT-based device communication for telemetry, commands, events, and remote configuration.
- Integrate embedded applications with REST APIs and web/backend services.
- Develop background services, device monitoring, diagnostics, logging, and recovery mechanisms.
- Build Python-based automated tests and production tools for device configuration and validation.
- Work with Linux services, systemd,



networking, processes, threads, and device interfaces.
- Debug and resolve hardware/software integration issues in development and production.
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and participate in code reviews.

Qualifications

- 3-5 years of software/embedded development experience.

Required Skills

- Strong Python 3 development experience.
- Strong experience with PyQt, PySide, or Qt.
- Hands-on Embedded Linux experience.
- Experience with GPIO and hardware interfaces.
- Experience with UART/serial communication and industrial peripherals.
- Experience with RFID integration is highly desirable.
- Strong experience with MQTT and REST APIs.
- Valuable understanding of HTTP/HTTPS, JSON, TCP/IP, and networking.
- Experience with Python threading, asyncio, multiprocessing, or event-driven programming.
- Experience with systemd/Linux services and embedded device deployment.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Good Git and software development practices.

Preferred Skills

- ARM64 SBCs such as Raspberry Pi, BeagleBone, or custom boards.
- Yocto or Buildroot.
- Docker on Embedded Linux.
- OTA updates and remote device management.
- WebSockets and cloud IoT platforms.
- Hardware-in-the-loop and production test automation.
- Working knowledge of C/C++ for understanding and debugging low-level components.

Python is the primary development language. Embedded Linux, PyQt, GPIO, MQTT, REST, and hardware integration are the core focus of this role.
