We are looking for an experienced Enterprise Application Engineer with 4-6 years of experience to support and modernize enterprise applications across cloud and on-premises environments. The engineer will play a key role in legacy application support, application modernization, cloud migration, automation, operating system management, and application workflow design.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with AWS, good exposure to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), and solid administration and troubleshooting skills across Windows and Linux operating systems. The role requires someone who can understand existing applications and their dependencies, troubleshoot complex issues, automate repetitive operational activities, and help define workflows for application deployment, support, migration, and modernization.

The candidate should be a quick learner with strong communication and problem-solving skills, capable of adapting to new technologies and working effectively with application, infrastructure, cloud, security, DevOps, and business teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide L2/L3 engineering and operational support for enterprise and legacy applications across Windows, Linux, cloud, and on-premises environments.
- Analyze existing/legacy applications and identify opportunities for modernization, cloud migration, re-platforming, automation, and operational improvement.
- Support application modernization initiatives, including migration of workloads to AWS and OCI.
- Understand application architecture, dependencies, integrations, middleware, databases, network requirements, and operating system dependencies.
- Design and document application workflows covering deployment, startup/shutdown, monitoring, incident handling, recovery, patching, maintenance, and operational procedures.
- Develop automation for repetitive application and infrastructure activities using scripting, Infrastructure as Code, configuration management, and DevOps tools.
- Troubleshoot application issues across application, operating system, cloud infrastructure, network, and integration layers.
- Support application installation, configuration, upgrades, migrations, patching, and lifecycle management.
- Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive and corrective actions.
- Improve CI/CD, release management, deployment automation, monitoring, and observability with DevOps teams.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, architecture/workflow diagrams, SOPs, and knowledge-base articles.
- Evaluate and quickly adopt technologies that improve reliability, supportability, automation, and modernization.

Required Technical Skills - AWS

- Strong working knowledge of AWS and cloud concepts.
- Experience supporting or deploying enterprise applications on AWS.
- Strong understanding of EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, Load Balancers,



CloudWatch, Route 53, RDS, Systems Manager (SSM), and related services.
- Understanding of cloud security, networking, monitoring, backup, availability, and disaster recovery.

Required Technical Skills - Operating Systems

- Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server and Linux.
- Application/service administration and troubleshooting.
- OS troubleshooting involving processes, services, logs, CPU, memory, disk, permissions, networking, and system configuration.
- OS patching, upgrades, configuration, hardening, and operational management.

Required Technical Skills - Automation & DevOps

- Hands-on experience automating operational and application-management activities.
- PowerShell, Bash/Shell, and/or Python.
- Exposure to Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent automation/configuration tools.
- Understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD, release management, deployment automation, monitoring, and observability.
- Experience with Azure DevOps and/or equivalent CI/CD platforms is desirable.
- Experience with Git/source-control practices.

Application Support & Modernization

- Experience supporting enterprise and legacy applications in production.
- Good understanding of application architecture and application-to-infrastructure dependencies.
- Experience with application migration, upgrades, modernization, re-platforming, or platform transformation.
- Ability to recommend improvements for scalability, reliability, security, supportability, and automation.
- Ability to troubleshoot across application, database, middleware, OS, network, cloud, and integration layers.

Development & Architecture Skills

- Hands-on development or scripting experience; strong Python experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of at least one development language such as Python, Java, C#, .NET, JavaScript, Node.js, or similar.
- Ability to understand existing application code and work with development teams.
- Good understanding of software architecture, design patterns, application components, and integrations.
- Ability to contribute to architecture and modernization decisions and evaluate technical trade-offs.
- Ability to work flexibly across different programming languages and technology stacks.
- Understanding of database setup, connectivity, and application-to-database integration.

Preferred Skills

- Working knowledge of OCI and experience supporting applications/infrastructure hosted on OCI.




- Exposure to SaaS applications and SaaS administration/operations.
- Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or equivalent.
- Docker and Kubernetes.
- Monitoring and observability platforms.
- APIs, REST services, middleware, databases, and enterprise integrations.
- Infrastructure as Code and cloud-native modernization approaches.
- AWS and/or OCI certification is advantageous but not mandatory.

Experience & Qualifications

- 5-7 years of relevant IT experience in enterprise application engineering, application support, cloud engineering, infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or application modernization.
- Demonstrated experience supporting business-critical enterprise applications.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Windows, Linux, application support, and automation.
- Experience with OCI, SaaS, DevOps, scripting/development, and application modernization is highly preferred.
- AWS and/or OCI certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.

Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate is a hands-on Enterprise Application Engineer who combines traditional application and OS support expertise with contemporary cloud, automation, and DevOps capabilities. The individual should be comfortable taking ownership of an existing legacy application, understanding how it works, stabilizing and supporting it, documenting its workflows and dependencies, and subsequently helping the organization determine how it can be automated, migrated, modernized, or transformed into a more cloud-native architecture.
