About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Bookkeeper to join our growing team in Vesu, Surat. The successful candidate will provide bookkeeping and accounting support to our UK-based clients and work closely with Client Accountants and the wider accounting team.

This position is suited to an accounting professional with at least 2 years of UK accountancy practice experience who has a strong practical understanding of bookkeeping, VAT returns, reconciliations and UK client accounting.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform day-to-day bookkeeping activities for UK-based clients.
- Prepare monthly UK VAT returns and support Making Tax Digital (MTD) requirements.
- Perform regular bank, credit card and accounting ledger reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records.
- Support month-end accounting and reporting activities.
- Assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.
- Review transactions and identify and resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Provide accounting and bookkeeping support to Client Accountants.
- Respond to bookkeeping-related client queries and obtain required information or documentation.
- Provide ad-hoc accounting support to the wider team.
- Ensure work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.

Requirements
- Part-Qualified CA/ACCA or Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance.
- Minimum 2 years of UK accountancy practice experience .




- Practical experience in UK bookkeeping and VAT returns .
- Good understanding of UK accounting processes and Making Tax Digital (MTD) .
- Experience with bank and ledger reconciliations.
- Understanding of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Strong working knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks, Sage and Zoho .
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel .
- Excellent English communication and presentation skills.
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively with UK-based clients and accounting teams.

Working Hours The role is full-time and follows UK business hours: 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM UK time, Monday to Friday, with a one-hour break .
