An Account Officer is responsible for managing an organization's financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring the accuracy of accounts payable and receivable. They play a critical role in reconciling ledgers, resolving billing discrepancies, and preparing financial reports to maintain organizational fiscal health.

Core Responsibilities
- Bookkeeping: Record daily financial transactions, update the general ledger, and maintain organized financial databases.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process and verify vendor invoices, track client billing, issue payments, and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Reconciliation: Perform regular bank and account reconciliations to ensure company records match external statements and invoices.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial reports, as well as handling payroll processing and tax deductions.
- Client Relations: Manage client portfolios, handle billing queries,



and maintain robust communication with customers and vendors.
- Audit & Compliance: Support internal and external audits by ensuring all financial documents align with organizational policies and statutory regulations.

Key Skills & Requirements
- Accounting Software: Proficiency in ERP systems and accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP) and intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong mathematical and analytical skills to spot discrepancies and analyze financial trends.
- Attention to Detail: High accuracy in data entry and record-keeping to prevent financial errors.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to handle client disputes and collaborate effectively with internal teams.

Education & Qualifications
- Degree: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
