Role Title: Senior Automation Test Engineer / Lead Quality Engineer

About the Role

Design, build and scale maintainable, parallelized test automation frameworks from scratch across web, mobile, and backend microservices. You will drive shift-left testing practices, integrate automated quality gates into CI/CD pipelines, and mentor junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Framework Architecture: Design, build, and optimize scalable automated test frameworks (Data-driven, BDD/Cucumber, Keyword-driven) from scratch using modern languages (Java, TypeScript, Python).

• CI/CD Integration: Integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins) to enforce automated quality gates on every pull request.

• Multi-Layer Automation: Lead test automation across UI (Playwright/Selenium), Mobile (Appium), and microservices/APIs (REST Assured/Supertest/Playwright API).

• Performance &

- Security Testing: Incorporate basic performance testing (k6, JMeter) and automated vulnerability checks into execution pipelines.

• Quality Metrics &

- Reporting: Define test coverage metrics,



pass/fail thresholds, and build automated reporting dashboards (Allure, ReportPortal).

• Leadership &

- Mentorship: Conduct code reviews for test scripts, enforce code quality standards, and mentor junior and mid-level QA team members.

Required Qualifications &

- Skills

• Education: Btech or Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.

• Experience: 5+ years in software quality engineering with a heavy focus on test automation architecture.

• Advanced Coding: Strong expertise in Java, TypeScript, Python, or C# with deep knowledge of design patterns (Page Object Model, Factory Pattern).

• Modern Tooling: Expertise in Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, REST Assured, and Appium.

• Infrastructure &

- Containers: Hands-on experience with Docker, Selenium Grid, BrowserStack/SauceLabs for cross-browser, multi-threaded parallel execution.

• DevOps Skills: Robust experience writing pipeline scripts (YAML/Groovy) to trigger automated test runs automatically.
