Role Description The Senior Auditor (Kerala) role at FIRSTCOMPANi is a full time, on-site position based in Kozhikode.
The Senior
Auditor will lead audit engagements for clients, including planning, risk assessment, execution of audit procedures, and preparation of detailed audit reports.
Responsibilities include reviewing financial statements, verifying compliance with applicable laws and regulations, evaluating internal controls, and identifying areas for process improvement. The role involves supervising junior audit staff, providing guidance and training, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders,
and maintaining accurate documentation and working papers.
The Senior
Auditor will also support management in refining audit methodologies, ensuring quality standards, and contributing insights to enhance client service delivery.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of auditing standards, accounting principles, and financial reporting, with the ability to interpret and apply relevant regulatory requirements.
- Experience in compliance, tax, and legal frameworks related to SMEs and startups, particularly within the Indian business environment.
- Proficiency in financial statement preparation and accounting software, along with documentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead audit teams, manage multiple engagements, and meet deadlines with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and interact effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; qualified certifications such as CA, CMA, or equivalent are highly preferred.
- Prior experience in a senior audit or assurance role, ideally within consulting, professional services, or corporate finance environments.
- High level of integrity, professional ethics, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and objectivity in all audit activities.
