Mad Hauz is a boutique brand and business partner for small businesses. We work across strategy, content, events, and experiences — helping turn businesses into brands, both online and offline.

You’ll join our small in-house team, working across businesses we own and operate, as well as client projects. The mix spans hospitality, beauty, personal brands, communities, and more.

Role Description

Your work will directly shape how these brands show up online — from everyday social storytelling to high-impact campaigns.

We’re looking for a hands-on creator who can take a content idea through to a published post: planned, shot, edited, written, and scheduled. Depending on the project, you’ll shoot content yourself or work with footage supplied by clients and collaborators. You may also be required to cover events and experiences, capturing content on-site for use across social media and other brand channels.

What You’ll Do

- Plan, shoot, and edit short-form content, mainly for Instagram Reels and Stories.
- Cover events and experiences, capturing timely photo and video content on-site.
- Own content and shoot calendars, keeping feedback, approvals, and publishing on track.
- Design posts, carousels, stories, and creatives for Google and Meta ads using Canva.
- Write hooks, captions, and ad copy that match each brand’s voice.
- Work with clients and freelancers on briefs, footage, and deliverables when needed.
- Research trends, new formats,



and campaign ideas relevant to each brand.
- Track content performance and suggest what to improve or try next.
- Work closely with the founder to shape brand voice, visuals, and creative direction.

Skills and Requirements

- 1–3 years of experience in social media, content creation, or a similar role.
- A valuable understanding of Instagram, with a strong sense of composition and storytelling.
- Comfortable using Canva and video editing tools such as Edits by Instagram.
- Confident shooting on a phone. We’ll provide setup support as needed.
- Organised and reliable, with the ability to manage deadlines as project priorities shift.
- Coachable, curious, and ready to take ownership.
- Non-negotiable: accurate grammar, punctuation, and language across everything you publish.

Extra brownie points if you're familiar with the Meta ads ecosystem.
