Job Description

We're looking for a detail-oriented and organized Commis 1 (Bakery) to join our culinary team in Visakhapatnam, India. In this entry-level bakery position, you'll work alongside experienced bakers to prepare, bake, and finish a variety of baked goods while maintaining the highest standards of quality and food safety. - Prepare baking ingredients by measuring, sifting, and mixing according to established recipes and specifications
- Operate bakery equipment, including ovens, mixers, and proofing cabinets, following proper safety protocols
- Assist in the production of breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked items while maintaining consistency in quality and presentation
- Monitor baking times and temperatures to ensure products are baked to perfection
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery station, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment




- Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations to prevent contamination and ensure product quality
- Assist with portioning, packaging, and labeling of finished baked goods
- Support senior bakers with specialized tasks such as decorating, filling, or assembling baked products
- Rotate stock using the first-in, first-out (FIFO) method to maintain ingredient freshness
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of orders

Qualifications:
- Foundational knowledge of baking techniques and basic pastry preparation
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards in a commercial kitchen
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions with precision and attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
