Job Summary:
The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) is responsible for providing immediate medical care and transportation to patients in emergency situations. EMTs respond to emergency calls, assess patient conditions, administer basic life support, and ensure safe transport to healthcare facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to emergency calls and provide on-site patient care
- Assess patient condition and determine appropriate medical interventions
- Administer basic life support (BLS), including CPR, oxygen, and first aid
- Safely transport patients to hospitals or medical facilities
- Monitor vital signs and maintain accurate patient records
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, hospital staff, and other emergency personnel
- Operate and maintain emergency vehicles and medical equipment
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and infection control protocols
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families
Required Qualifications:
- Certification or diploma in Emergency Medical Technology or equivalent
- Valid EMT certification/license (as per local regulations)
- Knowledge of basic life support and emergency care procedures
- Ability to stay calm and make quick decisions under pressure
- Good physical fitness and stamina
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in emergency services or healthcare
- Advanced certifications (e.g., ACLS, PHTLS)
- Valid driver’s license for ambulance operation
Work Environment:
- Field-based role (ambulance/emergency scenes)
- Exposure to high-stress and potentially hazardous situations
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher
Pay: ₹11,600.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
