We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Security Engineer Trainee to join our Security Operations team. The candidate will support day-to-day security monitoring, incident analysis, threat detection, and security administration activities while gaining hands-on experience with cybersecurity technologies and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events using security monitoring tools.
- Perform initial investigation and triage of security incidents and suspicious activities.
- Analyze phishing emails and recommend appropriate remediation actions.
- Identify potential security threats and escalate critical incidents when required.
- Assist in incident response, containment, and remediation activities.
- Ensure accurate documentation of security incidents, investigations, and resolutions.
- Follow up on remediation activities and track incident closure.
- Handle and prioritize information security tickets and service requests.
- Support vulnerability management and security compliance activities.
- Assist in implementing and maintaining security controls across the organization.
- Collaborate with internal teams to strengthen the organization's security posture.
- Follow security policies, procedures, and industry best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts, networking, operating systems, and information security principles.
- Knowledge of common cyber threats, malware, phishing, and attack methodologies.
- Robust analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to investigate and correlate security events from multiple sources.




- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving security challenges.

Preferred Skills

- Basic understanding of Microsoft Sentinel and Microsoft 365 Defender.
- Familiarity with security monitoring, incident management, and threat detection concepts.
- Exposure to cloud security fundamentals (Azure/AWS).
- Understanding of vulnerability assessment and security best practices.
- Knowledge of SIEM, EDR, or endpoint security solutions is an added advantage.

Certifications (Preferred)

- Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate (SC-200)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500)
- CompTIA Security+
- Any cybersecurity-related certification

Education

- UG: Any Graduate
