Role Summary

As an Enterprise Security Engineer at JioStar, you will play a critical role in protecting the organization’s enterprise technology landscape, infrastructure, systems, applications, and data from evolving cyber threats. You will work closely with technology, infrastructure, cloud, IT, and security teams to identify security risks, strengthen enterprise controls, and build resilient security solutions across the organization. The role involves assessing and improving the security posture across enterprise environments, including cloud infrastructure, networks, endpoints, identity and access management, operating systems, applications, and security platforms. You will contribute to security architecture, vulnerability management, threat detection, incident response, and proactive risk mitigation.

Key Responsibilities

- Assess and strengthen the security posture of enterprise infrastructure, cloud environments, networks, endpoints, applications, and operating systems.
- Conduct security assessments, vulnerability assessments, configuration reviews, and security testing across enterprise technology environments.
- Identify security gaps and vulnerabilities and provide actionable recommendations for remediation and risk reduction.
- Work closely with IT,



Infrastructure, Cloud, Engineering, Network, DevOps, and Security teams to embed security best practices across the technology lifecycle.
- Evaluate enterprise architectures and technology implementations to identify potential security risks and recommend secure design approaches.
- Develop threat scenarios and perform threat modelling to identify potential attack paths across enterprise environments.
- Drive vulnerability management initiatives, including prioritization, remediation tracking, validation, and reporting.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to identity and access management, privileged access, authentication, authorization, network security, endpoint security, and cloud security.
- Monitor and assess emerging threats, vulnerabilities, attack techniques, and technology risks relevant to the enterprise environment.
- Support security incident investigations by providing technical analysis, root-cause identification, and remediation recommendations.
- Evaluate and improve security controls across enterprise platforms, infrastructure, and security tools.
- Automate repetitive security processes and build solutions that improve the efficiency and scalability of security operations.
- Partner with security architecture and engineering teams to implement security controls across hybrid and cloud environments.
- Take ownership of security initiatives and deliver projects within defined timelines with minimal supervision.
- Identify systemic security gaps and drive initiatives that significantly improve JioStar’s overall enterprise security posture.
- Stay current with evolving technologies, attack techniques, security frameworks, and industry best practices.
- Champion a security-first mindset across technology and enterprise teams by influencing security practices and decision-making.

Skills & Attributes for Success

- Strong understanding of enterprise security concepts, infrastructure security, network security, cloud security, endpoint security, and identity and access management.
- Experience conducting security assessments across enterprise infrastructure,



cloud environments, networks, applications, operating systems, and endpoints.
- Strong knowledge of common security vulnerabilities, attack techniques, misconfigurations, and exploitation methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with security tools for vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, configuration assessment, threat detection, monitoring, and security validation.
- Good understanding of enterprise network architectures, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, VPNs, firewalls, proxies, load balancers, and network segmentation.
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and understanding of cloud security controls and architectures.
- Strong understanding of IAM concepts, authentication, authorization, SSO, MFA, privileged access, and access controls.
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux security, system hardening, patch management, and endpoint security.
- Understanding of security frameworks and standards such as CIS, NIST, ISO 27001, and MITRE ATT&CK; is a plus.
- Experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python, PowerShell, Bash, JavaScript, Go, or similar is a solid plus.
- Ability to understand complex technology environments and identify the root cause of security issues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate technical security risks into practical remediation strategies.
- Curiosity to understand how systems work and how they can behave under unexpected or adversarial conditions.
- Passion for security with a practical and balanced approach to risk management.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with teams across IT, Infrastructure, Cloud, Engineering, Network, and Security.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple security initiatives simultaneously.
- Contributions to the security community, open-source projects, research, or security conferences are a strong plus.
- A strong automation mindset — looking for opportunities to make security processes faster, smarter, and more scalable.
