Position: Secondary Social Science Teacher

Location: Amalapuram, Andhra Pradesh

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Secondary Social Science Teacher who can effectively engage students and develop their understanding of History, Geography, Civics, and related Social Science concepts. The ideal candidate should be able to create an interactive classroom environment and support students in achieving strong academic outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver engaging Social Science lessons for Grades 6–10.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assessments, and other academic resources.
- Explain concepts clearly using age-appropriate examples, activities, discussions, and visual aids.
- Maintain effective classroom management and create a positive learning environment.
- Assess student learning through regular tests, assignments, activities, and classroom participation.
- Identify learning gaps and provide appropriate academic support to students.
- Maintain student academic records and complete assigned documentation on time.
- Participate actively in PTMs, school events, assemblies, projects, and co-curricular activities.
- Collaborate with coordinators and other teachers for academic planning and student development.
- Follow the school's academic curriculum, teaching practices, policies, and processes.
- Continuously work on improving teaching methodologies and subject knowledge.

Qualification & Experience
- Qualification: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Social Science or a relevant subject.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification preferred/required as per school norms.
- Experience: 2–5 years of teaching experience in a reputed school, preferably at the Secondary level.
- Candidates with strong subject knowledge and relevant teaching experience may also be considered.
