Job Title : Purchase Executive
Location: Kozhikode
Experience: 3-5 Years(experienced in steel industry)
Salary: ₹20,000 - ₹30,000 per month

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective purchasing strategies
- Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery conditions
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain optimal stock availability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and plan procurement
- Manage supplier relationships and resolve disputes or issues
- Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and procedures
- Optimize procurement processes to achieve cost efficiency
- Stay updated on market trends, new materials, and industry regulations
- Receive purchase indents from the Design Department
- Prepare stock availability reports
- Prepare purchase indents order-wise
- Create rate comparison charts before preparing BOM
- Raise Purchase Orders (PO) based on approved supplier details
- Receive and verify supplier samples




- Follow up on orders and monitor pending deliveries
- Prepare BOQ (Bill of Quantities)
- Prepare Debit Notes and update the Operations Head on status
- Prepare monthly stock statements
- Generate reports for management meetings

Qualifications
- Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role (preferably in the steel industry)
