To manage end-to-end supply chain activities for wind energy projects, ensuring timely procurement, delivery, transportation and availability of materials and equipment as per project requirements, budget and schedule.

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and manage procurement of WTG components, electrical equipment, cables, transformers, structures, civil materials and other project requirements.
- Identify, evaluate and develop reliable vendors and suppliers.
- Float RFQs/RFPs, obtain quotations and conduct techno-commercial comparisons.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules and commercial conditions.
- Issue and monitor Purchase Orders and Work Orders.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Projects, Planning, Finance, Stores and Site teams for material requirements.
- Track manufacturing, inspection, dispatch and delivery of critical equipment.
- Manage logistics and transportation of WTG components, including blades, towers, nacelles and other ODC/OWC cargo.
- Coordinate route surveys, transporters, cranes, warehouses and site delivery.
- Monitor inventory and ensure timely availability of materials at project sites.




- Follow up with vendors for delays, shortages, quality issues and corrective actions.
- Maintain procurement and material tracking reports/MIS.
- Monitor supply-chain risks and take corrective actions to avoid project delays.
- Coordinate with Finance for payment schedules, LC documentation and vendor payments.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, quality standards and project requirements.
- Maintain vendor performance records and develop alternate sources wherever required.

Required Skills

- Robust knowledge of procurement and supply-chain management.
- Experience in wind energy / renewable energy / EPC projects preferred.
- Knowledge of WTG components and electrical BoP equipment.
- Vendor negotiation and contract management skills.
- Knowledge of ODC transportation and heavy equipment logistics.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and ERP/SAP.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and travel to project sites.
