Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced SAP SD Lead / Project Manager with 10–12 years of SAP experience, strong hands-on expertise in SAP S/4HANA SD, and exposure to the Steel/Metals industry.

The candidate should have experience across SAP S/4HANA implementation, rollout, enhancements, AMS/support, and ticket management, along with robust project management and stakeholder management capabilities.

The role requires a combination of SAP SD functional expertise, steel industry process knowledge, AMS governance, project management, stakeholder management, and cross-functional integration experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end SAP S/4HANA SD / Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes including Inquiry, Quotation, Sales Order, Delivery, PGI, Billing, Returns, Credit/Debit Notes, and Credit Management.
- Manage SAP S/4HANA implementation/rollout projects from requirement gathering and Fit-Gap analysis through design, build, testing, cutover, go-live, hypercare, and AMS transition.
- Manage SAP AMS/support activities, including incident, service request, problem, and change management.
- Handle and monitor AMS tickets across different priority/severity levels and ensure resolution within agreed SLAs/TATs.
- Perform ticket analysis, troubleshooting, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and coordinate permanent fixes for recurring issues.
- Monitor AMS KPIs such as ticket ageing, backlog, SLA adherence, recurring incidents, resolution time, and ticket closure.
- Coordinate with L1/L2/L3 support teams and functional/technical teams for timely ticket resolution and business communication.
- Drive regular AMS governance/service review meetings, ticket reviews, escalations,



and status reporting with business stakeholders.

Steel Industry & SAP SD Responsibilities

- Strong understanding of Steel Industry sales and dispatch processes, including:
- Weight-based sales and billing
- Order quantity vs. actual weighment quantity variations
- Coil/Sheet/Plate/Bar or similar steel product scenarios
- Grade, size, thickness, and other material characteristics
- Batch/Heat Number management and traceability
- Make-to-Order (MTO) and Make-to-Stock (MTS) scenarios
- Weighbridge integration and actual weight capture
- Dispatch planning and transportation processes
- Strong configuration knowledge of Pricing, Condition Technique, ATP/aATP, Credit Management, Output Management, Copy Controls, Partner Determination, Text Determination, and Material Determination.
- Experience in complex pricing scenarios including base price, grade/size differentials, freight, discounts, surcharges, taxes, and customer-specific pricing.
- Strong understanding of ATP/aATP, availability confirmation, backorder processing, and delivery scheduling.
- Handle SAP S/4HANA SD integration with MM, PP, FI/CO, QM, EWM/WM, and TM/Logistics.
- Coordinate functional and technical teams for RICEFW developments, interfaces, enhancements, and integrations.
- Lead SIT, UAT, regression testing, defect management, and business sign-offs.

Project Management Responsibilities

- Own project planning, resource allocation, milestone tracking, RAID management, status reporting, and governance.
- Manage project scope, timelines, dependencies, risks, issues, and escalations.
- Conduct regular governance meetings with business stakeholders, functional leads, technical teams, and senior management.
- Coordinate cutover planning,



data migration, go-live readiness, hypercare, and transition to AMS/support.
- Manage onsite/offshore teams and ensure effective coordination across different SAP workstreams.
- Act as the key liaison between business stakeholders, SAP functional teams, technical teams, AMS teams, and project leadership.

Required Skills & Experience

- 10–12 years of overall SAP experience, primarily in SAP SD.
- Strong hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA SD is mandatory.
- Minimum 2–3 end-to-end SAP implementation/rollout projects, with strong S/4HANA exposure.
- Strong experience in SAP AMS/support and ticket management.
- Experience working with ticketing/ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, SAP Solution Manager, Jira, or similar tools.
- Good understanding of Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, SLA Management, RCA, and AMS governance.
- Strong hands-on expertise in SAP SD configuration and end-to-end O2C processes.
- Steel, Metals, or Heavy Manufacturing industry experience is strongly preferred.
- Good understanding of weight-based sales, weighment differences, batch/heat management, dispatch, and complex steel pricing scenarios.
- Proven experience as an SAP Project Manager / SD Lead / Functional Lead / Delivery Lead.
- Strong cross-functional understanding of SD integration with MM, PP, FI/CO, QM, EWM/WM, and logistics processes.
- Experience managing workshops, Fit-Gap discussions, solution design, testing, cutover, hypercare, and AMS transition.
- Strong stakeholder management, team management, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and coordinate onsite/offshore teams.
- Experience with SAP Activate methodology and SAP project governance.

Preferred Qualifications

- SAP S/4HANA Sales certification preferred.
- PMP / PRINCE2 / SAP Activate certification would be an advantage.
- Prior experience managing SAP S/4HANA transformation and AMS engagements for Steel/Metals organizations will be highly preferred.
