We are seeking an experienced SAP CPI Integration Lead to oversee, support, and improve enterprise integrations for a Utilities client operating within the AMS (Application Management Services) model. The primary responsibility is to ensure smooth data flow between SAP and non-SAP systems, maintain integration stability, and develop new interfaces that address evolving business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Integration Operations & AMS Support

- Manage the complete integration landscape utilising SAP CPI (SAP BTP Integration Suite).
- Monitor and provide support for interfaces between SAP (including S/4HANA, IS-U, BW, Ariba, SuccessFactors) and third-party systems.
- Handle incident, problem, and change management processes in accordance with SLA and KPI commitments.
- Ensure all integrations are highly available and deliver optimal performance.

Interface Development & Enhancements

- Design and build new iFlows in SAP CPI based on business needs.
- Enhance existing integrations to improve performance, scalability, and error handling.
- Implement diverse integration patterns including synchronous, asynchronous, event-driven, and API-based approaches.
- Work with APIs, IDocs, RFCs, OData, SOAP, REST, SFTP, and messaging queues.

Utilities Domain

Integration





- Support integrations specific to Utilities processes such as Meter-to-Cash (billing and invoicing), device and meter data management, and customer engagement/CRM integrations.
- Ensure seamless integration of IS-U with external systems like MDM, GIS, payment gateways, and regulatory platforms.

Monitoring & Troubleshooting

- Proactively monitor interfaces using CPI tools and dashboards.
- Conduct root cause analysis and resolve integration failures.
- Establish alerting and logging mechanisms for critical interfaces.

Governance & Best Practices

- Define and enforce integration standards, naming conventions, and reusable artefacts.
- Maintain thorough documentation for all interfaces (including design, mappings, and dependencies).
- Ensure compliance with security standards such as OAuth, certificates, and encryption.

Stakeholder Management

- Collaborate with business teams, functional consultants, and external vendors.
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for integration architecture, providing recommendations as required.
- Support audits and ensure compliance regarding data exchange processes.

Required Skills & Experience

Core Skills

- Extensive hands-on experience with SAP CPI (Integration Suite).
- Expertise in iFlow development, Groovy scripting, and message mapping.




- Experience with API Management and event-driven integrations.
- Proficient in integration protocols including REST, SOAP, OData, IDoc, RFC, and SFTP.

SAP Landscape Knowledge

- Experience integrating SAP S/4HANA/ECC.
- Familiarity with SAP IS-U (Utilities).
- Experience with SAP BW, Ariba, and SuccessFactors is preferred.

AMS & Support Experience

- Experience in AMS/support projects with a focus on SLA and KPI management.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes such as Incident, Change, and Problem Management.

Security & Compliance

- Understanding of authentication mechanisms including OAuth2, Basic Authentication, and Certificates.
- Awareness of data privacy and secure integration practices.

Soft Skills

- Solid analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
- Effective communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Ability to operate within a global delivery model.

Experience & Qualifications

- 6–12 years of overall professional experience, with at least 3 years dedicated to SAP CPI.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, or a related field.
- Experience in the Utilities domain is highly desirable.

Nice to Have

- Experience with SAP PI/PO, especially migration to CPI.
- Exposure to SAP BTP services and extensions.
- Knowledge of Event Mesh and API Management.
- Certification in SAP Integration Suite.
