- SAP S/4HANA Controlling (CO) Senior Consultant will be responsible for end-to-end design, configuration, integration, and reporting across the SAP Controlling landscape.
- The role requires strong hands-on Controlling expertise, deep knowledge of planning and analytics using SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), and seamless integration with Finance, Projects, BW, and Reporting platforms.
- The consultant is expected to work independently while coordinating closely with application leads and cross-functional stakeholders.

Essential Job Functions:

SAP S/4HANA Controlling – Functional Responsibilities

- Lead fit-to-standard, blueprinting, and solution design workshops for SAP Controlling.
- Design, configure, and support core SAP CO components including Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Internal Orders, CO Planning, and Profitability Analysis (CO-PA – Margin Analysis).
- Define and manage CO organizational structures such as controlling areas, cost center hierarchies, and profit center hierarchies.
- Ensure Controlling solutions align with management accounting, performance management, and reporting requirements.

Finance (FI) Cross-Module Knowledge – Must Have
- Good conceptual understanding of SAP FI sub-modules including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Asset Accounting.
- Ability to validate FI postings and ensure alignment with Controlling, planning, and management reporting requirements.

Cost Allocations & Period-End Close – Must Have
- Configure and manage cost allocations and distributions including assessments, distributions, periodic repostings, and activity allocations.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end Controlling close activities.
- Analyze and resolve FI–CO reconciliation differences during period close.

Integration Responsibilities – Must Have
- Ensure strong end-to-end integration between FI–CO, including real-time postings and reconciliation.
- Support PS–CO integration for project planning, cost collection, and settlement.




- Ensure seamless SAC–CO integration for planning and analytics use cases.
- Support CO–BW integration for enterprise management and analytical reporting.
- Coordinate closely with FI, PS, BW, SAC, and technical teams to ensure data consistency across platforms.

Planning & SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) – Good to Have
- Design and implement planning, budgeting, and forecasting solutions using SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
- Preference to candidates having experience with build and maintain SAC planning models integrated with SAP S/4HANA Controlling.
- Implement versions, data actions, driver-based planning models, and scenario simulations in SAC.
- Ensure seamless and reliable integration of plan, forecast, and actuals data between S/4HANA CO and SAC.

Management & Analytical Reporting – Good to Have
- Design and support management reporting solutions across SAP S/4HANA Embedded Analytics, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP BW, and SAP Fiori applications.
- Enable executive and operational Controlling dashboards aligned to business KPIs and performance indicators.

Material Ledger – Conceptual Knowledge
- Good conceptual understanding of Material Ledger including ML activation, actual costing principles, and period-end processing.
- Understand the impact of Material Ledger on CO and FI integration in S/4HANA landscapes.

Delivery, Documentation & Stakeholder Management
- Work independently on assigned workstreams while coordinating with application leads, architects, and business stakeholders.
- Prepare and maintain functional design documents, business blueprints, test scripts, and training documentation.
- Support testing cycles including Unit Testing, SIT, UAT, and Hypercare.

Qualifications:

Experience & Background

- 10+ years of strong hands-on experience in SAP Controlling (CO).
- Proven experience delivering at least 2–3 end-to-end SAP S/4HANA Finance implementations.




- Strong exposure to complex, multi-entity and multi-country SAP S/4HANA landscapes.
- Experience working in onshore-offshore delivery models and global SAP programs.

Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical skills with a solid finance and controlling background.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with finance leadership, business users, and IT teams.
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable SAP Controlling solutions.
- Strong ownership mindset and adaptability to work in structured, enterprise SAP programs.

Nice to Have
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA Embedded Planning and Fiori analytics.
- Exposure to enterprise or group-level management reporting initiatives.
- SAP CO / SAP S/4HANA Finance certifications.
