About The Job:

- We are looking for an SAP CO Consultant to design, configure, implement, and support SAP Controlling solutions across SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA environments.

- The consultant will work closely with finance, costing, manufacturing, supply chain, and technical teams to deliver effective cost controlling, product costing, profitability analysis, planning, reporting, and month-end closing processes.

Essential Job Functions:

- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for SAP Controlling processes.

- Design, configure, test, and support SAP CO modules including Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Product Costing, Cost Object Controlling, and Profitability Analysis.

- Configure planning, budgeting, allocations, assessments, distributions, activity types, cost elements, cost centers, profit centers, internal orders, and settlement processes.

- Support product costing activities including standard costing, cost estimates, cost component structures, overhead costing, work-in-process, variance analysis, and period-end closing.

- Configure and support CO-PA, including costing-based and account-based profitability analysis, derivation rules, valuation, allocations, and profitability reporting.

- Work on SAP S/4HANA Controlling capabilities including Universal Journal, account-based CO-PA, Material Ledger, actual costing, and margin analysis where applicable.

- Collaborate with SAP FI, MM, PP, SD, PS, and technical teams to ensure seamless cross-module integration.

- Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to allocations, settlements, product costing, variance calculation, WIP, and profitability reporting.

- Participate in implementation, rollout, support, enhancement, migration, and S/4HANA transformation projects.

- Prepare functional specifications, configuration documents, test scripts, training materials, and process documentation.

- Conduct unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, user acceptance testing, defect resolution, deployment, and post-go-live support.

- Provide end-user training, resolve production issues, and recommend process improvements for cost controlling and management reporting.

Qualifications:

- 4–8 years of experience in SAP CO consulting, implementation, rollout, or support projects.





- Strong hands-on configuration experience in SAP Controlling submodules such as Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Product Costing, Cost Object Controlling, and CO-PA.

- Good understanding of controlling business processes, cost accounting, management accounting, product costing, profitability analysis, planning, and period-end closing.

- Experience with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA Finance and Controlling processes.

- Strong knowledge of integration between SAP CO and FI, MM, PP, SD, PS, and related modules.

- Experience in product costing scenarios including standard cost estimates, actual costing, Material Ledger, variance analysis, settlement, and WIP.

- Working knowledge of costing-based and account-based CO-PA, margin analysis, profitability reporting, and allocation cycles.

- Ability to conduct workshops, map business processes, prepare solution designs, and convert requirements into SAP configuration.

- Experience in testing, cutover, data migration, user training, support, and production issue resolution.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in SAP S/4HANA Finance transformation, migration, conversion, or rollout projects.

- Knowledge of Universal Journal, account-based profitability analysis, margin analysis, group reporting, and embedded analytics.

- Experience with Material Ledger, actual costing, transfer pricing, activity-based costing, and manufacturing costing scenarios.

- Exposure to SAP Fiori apps, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP BW, or reporting tools for controlling and profitability reporting.

- Experience working in manufacturing, engineering, pharma, automotive, consumer goods, or process industries.

- SAP CO, SAP S/4HANA Finance, or related SAP certification would be an advantage.

Education and Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Cost Accounting, Commerce, Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

- CA, CMA, ICWA, MBA Finance, or equivalent finance qualification is preferred.

- Relevant SAP CO or SAP S/4HANA Finance certification is desirable.





Ideal Candidate Profile

- Hands-on SAP CO consultant with strong controlling process knowledge.

- Practical configuration experience across SAP CO modules.

- Ability to work with finance and business teams to deliver reliable cost controlling and profitability reporting solutions.

- Comfortable working across implementation, rollout, support, enhancement, and S/4HANA transformation engagements.
